POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary function of this position is to directs and coordinate activities of industrial organization to obtain optimum efficiency, economy of operations and maximized profits. The role requires this to be accomplished within the company's principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win right culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish operational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and complete and on-time delivery of assigned departments Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the manufacturing processes by leveraging best practices and Lean principles Develop and manage key metrics and KPI’s relevant to the business and operational excellence Create a culture of accountability and ownership Leads and develops assigned managers and planners Coordinates activities of departments such as planning, manufacturing training, and manufacturing engineering to effect operational efficiency and economy Analyzes departmental budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, cost savings can be realized and ensures the efficiency of expenses incurred and compliance with company budgetary procedures Confers with administrative personnel (finance, quality, marketing, program management) and reviews activity and operating reports to determine changes in programs or operations required Directs and assists with the planning and implementation of continuous improvement processes, including but not limited to 5S and Kaizen Ensures responsible departments are in compliance with quality policies (AS9100 and ISO) Works closely with sister companies on the synergy and shared product lines programs Works as an integral member of the IFS implementation team Confers with Human Resources on the current and future manpower needs for each responsible department. Partner with the Director of Supply Chain and Director of Quality to create and direct programs to ensure the quality of supplied products Provide training and leadership and act as a change agent while representing a positive and enthusiastic role model to ensure high engagement across the team.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to communicate within all levels of the organization Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of disciplines in a dynamic environment and motivate them to work together as a team Experienced user of ERP systems (IFS, SAP, etc.) Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate vision into action Computer and Microsoft Office literate (Word, Excel, etc.) Sound understanding of legal contracts and various financial issues including cash flow and working capital Experience in creating and managing a departmental budget Experience developing employees who are in leadership and technical roles Technical skills in lean manufacturing techniques, Kaizen, process improvement and production scheduling Experience in creating and managing a departmental budget

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Must be a US Person (US Citizen or permanent resident – green card holder) High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree in related technical or business field or five (5) years of related technical management experience may be substituted

Work Arrangement : Onsite  

Salary Range : $160,000.00   - $180,000.00
