Location: Seattle, WA in office 5 days a week

What this job involves - The Director of Operations serves as a business partner and leader to the local Leasing business in JLL’s Pacific Northwest region.  The position is located in Seattle and also supports the Bellevue and Portland corporate offices. The position will partner closely with the local Broker Leads, with specific oversight of the Sales Coordinators.  This role reports to the Executive Director of Operations for the West and partners with other Directors throughout the region to help drive consistency and collaboration. This role involves streamlining processes, managing day-to-day operations, supporting business growth initiatives, and ensuring the firm’s operational efficiency.

We are seeking a candidate with proven ability fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment, developing high performing teams, and driving change and desired outcomes. This position will drive the development and execution of annual business plans and will be the main contact for Finance, Human Resources, Research, Marketing and IT enabling programs that improve productivity and expand capacity at all levels in the market.  The role provides a unique opportunity with exposure to all aspects of the business in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

Operations oversight for overall office, primarily working with Brokerage but serves as point of contact for all function partners and business linesPartner with Broker Leads to achieve business objectives and firm/regional initiatives, perform business support activities, ensure transparency, and build a culture of trust and teamwork within Brokerage and broader officeEnsure alignment between Marketing, Research, Sales Enablement and Sales Coordinators) to provide best in class support to producersDrive adoption and utilization of firm’s sales enablement and technology platformsDevelop and motivate a high-performing operation (salest coordinator) teamWork with recruiting/HR for hiring and onboarding of new team members Identify learning opportunities and provide training as neededDevelop retention and recognition program for high value talentManage marginal performersPartner with Finance to ensure complete, accurate and timely reportingClosed transaction processingEnsure AR over 60 days < 5%Meet KPI metrics and margin targetsEnsure regular review/updates of pipeline (WIP)Ensure compliance with Firm’s, region and or local market specific policies, including expense policies and pre-approval requirementsEnsure accurate time reporting by direct reports and provide timely approvalsPartner with regional leadership to develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices while meeting business needs.Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators to ensure alignment with company goals.Oversee forecasting efforts and ensure deal pipeline accuracy.Expense management and policy oversight.Ensure all policies and procedures are communicated effectively and adopted by team membersResponsible for overall corporate culture, reward & recognition programs, mentor programs, events, and employee engagement initiativesMaintain required competencies around all required software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office suite, OneDrive/SharePoint, LeasingOS, Dealio, CoStar, Blackbird, CRM, and others, as requiredImplementation of additional learning opportunities for self and teamTrack and update all salesperson/broker and all corporate business licensesIdentify process improvements, be solution-oriented, and drive change managementPartner with regional Facilities team and to ensure all facilities needs are met,  including office renewals, moves, restacks and relocationsPerform other duties as requested

Required

5+ years prior management experience and prior business operations experience – in commercial real estate industry a plusBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related / equivalent preferred but not requiredStrong background and work experience in Finance, P&L / budget oversightDemonstrated leadership ability with collaborative management styleCritical thinker with high emotional intelligence and strong conflict management abilityStrong business acumen to understand/provide context for decisions; able to influence and challenge decisions as appropriateProven experience developing high performance teams; high employee engagement and effective delegatorExcellent project management ability; solution oriented, organized and resourcefulDemonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and confidentialityComfortable working in a fast-paced sales environmentTravel required (approximately 10-25%)

Estimated total compensation for this position:

120,000.00 – 120,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
