The director, Opportunity Identification & Solutioning is a unique opportunity to impact our Global Business Services (GBS) organization, driving successful discovery of improvement opportunities by leading the front-end problem identification, scoping, sizing and preparing a business case for business unit wide initiatives impacting the entire organization. In this role you will collaborate to define relevant business requirements and solutions and gain alignment of key cross-functional stakeholders. Consults with business and functional areas to ensure consistent methodologies and approaches are leveraged. Leads program deployment including rhythm of the business activities, team leadership, business readiness, change management, training, and communications. 

As a director, Opportunity Identification & Solutioning, Global Business Services

•    Lead: With a small and nimble team, you will help lead the enterprise through significant change and value identification. You’ll set goals for the team, develop organizational capability and model how we can work together. 
•    Planning & Execution: Develop strategic and operational plans for the team, manage execution and measure results. Partners cross-functionally with all levels of leadership to manage, support and track the Enterprise Transformation portfolio.
•    Business Execution: Identifies opportunities for business transformation and gains executive support and alignment for prioritization. Identifies risks and issues impacting successful implementation and works with program team to develop resolution. 
We’d love to hear from people with:
•    10 years project, program and portfolio management
•    Lean Six Sigma certification, preferred
•    Prosci Change Management Certification, preferred 
•    10 years management experience with full profit and loss accountability for investments in a Fortune 1000 firm with a global, multi-unit and high-growth profile
•    5 years application of industry-based systems development life cycle and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile & Waterfall)
•    Business and system process analysis and design and delivery method
•    5 years general management and people capacity management
•    5 years’ leading multiple and complex programs to drive productivity and operational excellence

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above. 

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. 
 
If you live in the greater Seattle area, we offer a flexible workplace that allows for hybrid work. Partners can work remotely up to two days per week. The pay range for this position may be narrower than that displayed, depending on where the work is performed.
