Role Overview

As the Director, People & Organization (P&O), you will be a strategic partner to Support Office Functional Teams (Finance, Client, Assets Management and Pricing). You will work collaboratively to lead organizational development by participating in and driving the execution of people strategies, holistic programs, and tailored solutions to improve efficiency, and performance to ensure delivery of VCA’s Objectives, Goals, Strategy and Measures (OGSM). You will drive, communicate, and implement people initiatives, talent and total rewards signature processes in partnership with functional leaders and P&O Centers of Excellence (COEs).As part of the P&O Operations Team, this role serves as a key contributor to building the VCA culture, building capabilities and providing leadership coaching, deploying culture/talent/Associate experience programs, and directing the successful management of specified change initiatives. 
This role necessitates a natural innovator with an entrepreneurial mindset that enjoys building things from scratch, balanced with a focus on simplified communication, change management and continuous improvement.
This role needs to be comfortable around senior management, as it will interact with VCA Senior Leadership Team daily.

Responsibilities

Work closely with VCA Senior Leadership Team members (CFO, COO, etc) to work on Organizational Development, capabilities and assess talent, advise, and coach on effective development and career conversations with Associates.Champion the VCA and Mars Culture.  Contribute to the design and deployment of P&O initiatives and signature processes (e.g., performance management programs, talent and succession planning, engagement, etc.) to enhance the Associate Experience. Educate and coach SLT Members, S/O Leaders and Associates on their roles and responsibilities to drive and embed a culture of engagement, leveraging training, leadership excellence, and inclusion. Focus on change management and continuous improvement with a “people first mindset. “Represents the voice of Support Functions in all P&O forums (Talent Management Programs, EI&D, Leadership Development, Total Rewards, Culture, EVP, People Services, etc.). Partners with subject matter experts and COEs designing and implementing assigned program solutions to address the business needs in line with VCA Objectives Goals Strategies and Measures (OGSM). Close partnership with Candidate Experience to support hiring activities.Provides insight and guidance to leadership to effectively leverage compensation frameworks including the annual merit process.Be an active member of their leadership teams (Finance, Client) contributing beyond P&O deliverables, to drive business priorities.Analyzing data with relevant tools and available systems to generate insights and influence decision making.Fulfill other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.Experience: 8 or more years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role, or related with business experience showing increasing responsibility. Multi-unit Human Resources experience in a services environment is preferred.

Additional Information

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,510 - $239,280. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
