Director, PMO Execution – Global Digital Workplace
About the role

This is a leadership role within the Project Management Office (PMO) for Infrastructure Services (IS), accountable for driving the execution of all deliverables for the Digital Workplace, our initiative focused on delivering innovative and secure technology solutions that improve and enhance the day-to-day experience for our global AIG colleagues. The incumbent will work closely with the Global Digital Workplace Lead to develop the strategy and roadmaps by engaging with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and solicit feedback, and interacting with the vendor community to stay up to date with the latest technologies and developments that impact Digital Workplace.

This Director - PMO Execution will play a crucial role in shaping all the services that Infrastructure Services deliver that directly impact the business user experience including the Global Service Desk, Tech Bar, and all hardware (i.e., laptops) and associated services and applications such as Microsoft365, Teams, audio calling, desktop collaboration, mobile (cellular services), and more.

Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day execution of large, complex, strategic, and global programs that cross multiple business and functional lines, including leading the implementation of the Digital Workplace Experience (DeX) service that allows us to take the pulse of user experience interactively

Provide leadership and direction to project managers and their teams, overseeing their project execution and ensuring overall program deliverables are met within cost, schedule, and scope

Monitor and coordinate dependencies across the projects in the program, resolving roadblocks as needed to ensure target deliverables and objectives are met

Maintain regular interactions with the executive sponsor and stakeholders to inform, alert, and/or negotiate to foster and maintain a strong relationship and shared vision for the program outcomes; This includes providing regular status reports in various formats and forums, ensuring full transparency of program status and health

Leads review sessions with the executive sponsor and stakeholders to identify organic or specific program needs and changes, and adjusting the project plan as needed including (deliverables, timeline, resourcing, etc.)

Partner with the Digital Workplace Lead to develop the project plan with clear definitions of the major deliverables, timelines, and desired goals and objectives

Partner with the Digital Workplace Lead and the Head of Business Management for IS to develop and control the program budget, managing all expenditures within the approved spending plans

Work closely with our internal Procurement and Legal teams to ensure approved projects have the necessary support in terms of execution and oversight i.e. contract labor or deliverable-based statements of work

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or proven track record in technology and/or project management roles

10-15 years of program/project management experience, preferably in a large, global organization with experience of significant company-wide transformational programs, including divestitures and separation

8+ years of leadership experience in managing large scale transformation projects with global teams (project managers, application leads, etc.) and vendor relationships

Strong foundation in transformation, program, and project management execution including integration, scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management

Significant industry experience of the Digital Workplace environment in line with the broadest definition of services supporting this environment

Experience of how Artificial Intelligence is shaping the services that IT uses to support the business

Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills to lead change management effectively, particularly with non-technical business/end-users

Proven track-record of transforming the Digital Workspace environment to leading-edge technologies and services, especially in a highly outsourced organization

The base salary range for this position in Jersey City, NJ, is $175,000 -$225,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
