We are seeking a Director, Pricing to join our Central Strategy team at Walmart. This role plays a crucial role in protecting and growing Walmart's loyal customer base through sustainable Retail Price Leadership, directing the development of effective pricing strategies, ensuring the performance of current pricing strategies, and supporting the development of pricing strategies.
What You'll Do
Protect and Grow Walmart's Loyal Customer Base, develop and execute Every Day Low Price (EDLP) Strategy to incorporate the Save Money, Live Better standard, and deliver against Department Sales Goals and Profit Goals.
Operationalize pricing strategies, provide guidance on interactions with different areas of the company (e.g., marketing, merchandising), and develop strategies to enhance and maintain profit margins based on competitor actions.
Ensure performance of Current Pricing Strategies, review current information on sales, profits, margins, in-stock, mark-up, and mark-down, maintain up-to-date statistics against defined performance metrics for the SBU.
Develop a team responsible for the training of Merchant and cross functional partners on Walmart’s pricing strategy and EDLP tactics that will build trust with our customer.
You'll Make an Impact By
Developing multi-tiered retail price points and store groups affording Walmart price leadership and margin enhancement.
Identifying strategic price modifications based on competitive data, evaluating the impact of inflation and deflation on items.
Working with the Merchandising Strategy Office (MSO) directly supporting the Chief Merchant and chief merchant’s leadership team.
Meeting with Portfolio Team and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leaders to discuss the current competitive landscape, future cost changes, promotions, new items, and modular updates.
Preparing and teaching boot camp for pricing personnel, training pricing personnel on conducting retail price surveys.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
