The CIBC Capital Markets business provide integrated capital markets products, investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and top-ranked research to corporate, government and institutional clients around the world. Our goal is to be the leading Capital Markets franchise in Canada and the lead relationship bank for key clients globally. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. **How You’ll Succeed** US Capital Markets, Prime Services Support Team + Provides primary support for traders and sales/marketers in aspects of trade booking and position reconciliation process. + Monitors new orders during the trading day to ensure all executions for client orders are received from market/brokers and booked properly in CIBC’s trade capture to feed downstream systems + Insures proper allocation to client accounts + Controls proper capture of trades for regulatory reporting + Primary interface between desk and downstream support teams + Maintains a strong understanding of internal and third party desk related technologies and may be called on to assist others in the use of the same systems Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Daily Trading Assistance of Securities Lending Book Assist with the borrow and loans of Canadian and US equities for internal partners and external clients. Help manage the securities lending book to ensure best execution and pricing for our client franchise. Returns Coordination Ensure that DTC, and international returns are matched off efficiently and appropriately. Monitor and notifying desk of incoming returns on special and recalled securities, so suitable action can be taken. Settlement Special Situations Manage sensitive and special settlements that require high touch including: ETF and Delta One desks. Recalls Management Manage incoming and outgoing recall and segregation coverage Risk Management & Reporting within Securities Lending Work with internal technology teams (Risk Management, Technology, Operations) to improve Management Reporting for Securities Lending from both a Risk and Revenue perspective. Collateral Optimization Work with the front and back office teams to ensure efficient and optimal use of collateral Reports Generate and distribute daily reports for clients and traders. Reconciliations/Admin Operations + Review and fix breaks between books/records and GlobalOne (our Sec Lending Order Management system) + Contact and owner for cost of funds input + Other OMS operational functions as they arise Synthetic Prime Brokerage and Swap One Support **Who You Are** + 5+ years in a Capital Markets + Series 7 and/or 99 + Undergraduate degree preferably in Business, Banking, or Finance + Demonstrated ability to build relationships and positive interactions with clients, front office and infrastructure teams + Operations work experience with a focus on securities lending is a plus + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Familiarity with Securities Lending platforms and services (e.g. Global One, ADP, Equilend, Loanet. This role has an expected salary range of **$** 125,000-$150,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
