Position Objective: This position is r esponsible for business and ERP systems analysis, QA, and front-line customer support of the ERP Purchasing and Inventory applications. Accountable for business process improvement, system specifications and enhancements, complex report production, project management, QA planning and execution, and final signoff of ERP system upgrades. Acts as liaison to MTA IT Department to ensure end-user requirements are met. Responsibilities: ERP Application Administration: + Owns ERP functional scoping for inventory and procurement, as well as related financial system and application integrations. + Responsible for prompt issues resolution working closely with the BSC IT Department. + Drives systems and related technology strategies, including related application roadmaps and product selection, working closely with the Procurement PMO and the BSC IT Department. + Oversees ERP system administration, related playbooks, and all other necessary technical documentation. + Responsible for the successful planning and deployment of software and related services for the MTA and all Agencies. + Responsible for successful planning and execution of QA cycles. + Responsible for disaster recovery planning that supports business continuity objectives. Help Desk Management: + Determines help desk services and SLAs, ultimately manages escalations. + Owns master table data maintenance, including the creation of related policies and procedures. Performance Indicators: + Meets agreed project delivery dates and client service levels. + Achieves high ratings for PeopleSoft customer support services. + Avoids and/or reduces PeopleSoft application issues. + Delivers PeopleSoft-related projects within agreed timeframes, scope, and budget. + Oversees QA and test plans, ensuring errors are avoided in the production environment. + Achieves Team operations excellence. + Achieves Team competency improvement. + Ability to successfully execute Disaster Recovery procedures when invoked. People Management: + Delegates assignments and manages a team to prioritize objectives and lead them to completion. + Responsible for the recruiting, development, and performance appraisal of assigned staff. Required Qualifications: Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: + Knowledge of ERP purchasing and related integration management, project management, and disaster recovery planning. + Previous supervisory experience. + Strong functional and technical knowledge of ERP Inventory and/or Purchasing applications, as well as related architecture components such as integration and BI/reporting. + Strong knowledge of Purchasing and/or Inventory business processes, with the ability to propose related systems improvements. + Ability to identify data integrity issues and propose solutions for improvement. + Strong project management skills, ability to plan and track, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, build consensus, and motivate team members across multiple concurrent projects . + Strong systems upgrade, QA planning , and execution experience. + Excellent communication , interpersonal, and organizational skills. + Solid understanding of MTA objectives and operations. + Strong organization and resource management skills. Required Education and Experience: + BA/BS in Business Administration or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. + 10+ years of satisfactory full-time experience in ERP purchasing/inventory module and integration systems management. Other Information May need to work outside of normal work hours (i.e., evenings and weekends) Travel may be required to other MTA locations or other external sites .
