Director, Product Area Tech Lead

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Area Technology Lead (Director, Full Stack Engineering) to join Fidelity Institutional Product and Business Enablement Technology (FIPBET) team.

In this role you will work across multiple squads, providing technical leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the success of our Web Applications. You will act as a key liaison between architects and development teams, collaborate closely with the Product Owner to define the strategic application roadmap, in partnership with the Development Manager to shape the technology roadmap.

The Expertise and Skills You have

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related subject area.5+ years of proven experience as a Technology Lead, Technical Manager, or similar role in web application development.Proven experience in bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.Strong experience in .NET, Java, Angular and Cloud Technologies.Strong knowledge of modern web development technologies, frameworks, and best practices.Strong knowledge in Architecture and Design Patterns.Experience with Continuous integration and automated deployment tools and methodologies.Experience with Analytics.Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Experience with cloud platforms and services.Proven experience to collaborate with leadership team to define strategic technology roadmaps and successfully modernize legacy applications, driving innovation and operational efficiency.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with investment management space is desirable.Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Provide technical leadership and support across multiple squads working on the client facing web applications.Act as a bridge between solution architects and development teams to ensure architectural alignment and implementation consistency.Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and prioritize the strategic application roadmap, ensuring that business objectives are met with technical solutions.Work closely with the Development Manager to define and implement the technology roadmap for the application.Assist teams with solving complex technical challenges, ensuring best practices are followed and high-quality code is delivered.Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve the application’s performance, scalability, and maintainability.Ensure that technical solutions are aligned with industry standards, security requirements, and business goals.Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentorship among development teams to foster continuous learning and improvement.Support troubleshooting and resolution of critical issues in collaboration with development teams and other stakeholders.
