What you’ll be responsible for:

As a Director, Product Compliance, you will lead the day-to-day risk management of new products & services at Circle. The goal of the Product Compliance program is to ensure that Circle safely launches or changes new products & services while remaining compliant with applicable laws & regulations, protecting its customers, & meaningfully contributing to the overall virtual asset ecosystem.

The Global Product Compliance Program contributes to the overall company goal of maintaining and increasing Circle's growth and product goals by identifying new risks, assessing requirements, and preparing its operations for any internal and external risks that emerge from new products & services. 

What you'll work on:

Lead the day-to-day Product Compliance workload by assessing, prioritizing, & documenting risks, requirements, & other considerations of new Circle products & services primarily in the Banking segment.

Collaborate with the VP of Security Engineering and VP of Financial Crimes in projects and responsibilities, as assigned, that may be global in nature

Collaborate on the ongoing development, maintenance and implementation of a product compliance risk assessment framework.

Evaluate and communicate new products and material product changes to proactively identify risks to the broader Compliance team and Risk leadership.

Determine key data and operational requirements of new product initiatives, including partnering closely with compliance operations, risk management, legal, engineering, and customer success teams

Provide subject matter expertise to product stakeholders enabling the business to calculate the current risk by evaluating the risk factors, suggesting mitigation measures, and alignment with corporate risk statements and tolerances.

Remain up-to-date on regulatory landscape and changes, best practices and industry development.

Communicate product status, initiatives and issues to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Develop and maintain product compliance performance reporting such as performance dashboards, engagement metrics, OKRs, etc.

What you'll bring to Circle:

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business or Law required; advanced degree preferred.

6+ years working in regulatory compliance management (AML/Sanctions/etc.).

5+ years of product facing experience.

3+ years of virtual assets/blockchain and banking experience required.

Experience in promoting a compliance culture in a rapidly expanding business environment, preferably financial services.

Comprehensive knowledge of virtual assets, blockchain/distributed ledger technology, expertise preferred.

Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack and Apple MacOS preferred.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Pay Range: $190,000 - 242,500
