Job DescriptionAbout the team:
Core Business Services Workflow (CBSW) includes 4 four key product areas focused on the future of work: 1) Employee Experiences 2) HR Service Delivery 3) Finance & Supply Chain and 4) Legal. CBSW is a tight-knit team, working together to revolutionize workplace collaboration and productivity for some of the largest companies in the world. We are leveraging AI and our unified platform to drive productivity, employee and business success with features like employee self-service portals, automated workflows, and feedback systems to optimize their experience.
What you get to do in this role:
Work collaboratively with our Product teams to deliver great UX that will revolutionize workplace collaboration and productivity for some of the largest companies in the world. You will report to the VP Design, CBSW and be a part of their leadership team. In addition, you will represent CBSW as part of Umang, our India EX Leadership group. Directly manage 3-5 managers. You will mentor and grow leaders, improving their collaboration, design acumen and leadership skills. Partner closely with Product Design Directors / Leads who are responsible for their respective product areas: HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Employee Experience (EE), and Finance & Supply Chain and Legal (FSC / Legal). Lead a team of ~20 India-based designers working across CBSW products. Change the way people work through design thinking and develop experiences using AI, Machine Learning and Mobile technology. Set and hold a high bar for quality across the product design lifecycle including interaction design, visual design, presentation skills, and multimodal experiences. Work with Product and Engineering on definition and planning, and through tactical execution of the Product Roadmaps Work with your peers to ensure a unified and cohesive experience across the ServiceNow ecosystem Lead user needs assessment, task analysis and develop user profiles; identify key tasks for user research, competitive analysis and user testing, develop usability plans. Develop high level task flow content and then use storyboards and other design documents to communicate concepts and vision to others Rapidly iterate theoretical task scenarios, navigation map, flow, and state-transition diagrams to document design decisions Oversee your team's day-to-day work: detailed mockups and prototypes and behavior specifications and ensure high-quality outcomes with attention to detail and polish Ensure a cohesive experience across the mobile, desktop and future modalities Participate in the development and maintenance of the company Design system to provide examples of core platform components and best practices Oversee UI layouts including controls, labels and graphical elements for software on both mobile and desktop platforms with an eye towards experience unificationQualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in Product Design or related fields5+ years of leadership experience, including hiring and developing managers and individual contributors Strong portfolio of work demonstrating user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution Experience working on large tech enterprise systems at scale. Prior consumer experience is a plus Prior experience defining and delivering on the #futureofwork Ability to lead design teams in omnichannel (desktop, mobile, OS-level extensions and widgets, watch, voice, etc.) Ability to understand and distill complex problems into an easy-to-use and delightful experience. Excellent teamwork, communication, and technical problem-solving skills to contribute within a multi-functional and multi-disciplined team Obsessed with the relentless pursuit of UX excellence; and attention to detail Ability to working inside an iterative and agile development environment Expected to demonstrate a high level of initiative, good sense of humor, and a “make it work” ethos Expertise in one or more of the following product spaces focused on the #futureofwork: Employee productivity, workplace services, HR Service Delivery, finance and supply chain, or legal
Basic Qualifications:
Experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teams Enterprise product design experience Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in visual design, interaction design, human interaction sociology, psychology, or related disciplines. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Able to travel up to 20% of the year, including ability and willingness to travel to the U.S.
