Samsung Wallet is a mobile payment service and digital wallet developed by Samsung. It is designed to be a one-stop shop for all debit cards, credit cards, digital passes, and tickets, making them easy to access and use when necessary. With the rise of NFC payment terminals in stores and evolving consumer preferences over the past year, Samsung Wallet has never been more important. Working on the Samsung Wallet team will give you a chance to make a significant impact on the lives of millions of people around the world, and will be invaluable to the future of payments and financial services. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from experts from a variety of fields, as well as work on exciting, challenging projects.

We are seeking Product Manager (PM) with significant experience in building and launching consumer products, particularly those related to financial services and payments, to join our mission of expanding Samsung Wallet into the financial service space. In this position, you will be key in conceptualizing and implementing new financial product strategies and features. This includes specifying detailed customer experiences, use cases, and product and technical requirements. You will be responsible for collaborating closely with various internal teams such as Design, Engineering, Business Development, Legal, and Marketing, as well as external stakeholders like payment networks, issuers, and other industry players. You should create products that offer maximum satisfaction to customers and various internal and external stakeholders, by combining your technical and domain expertise, business insight, logical thinking, and communication abilities.

Lead the development of strategies, innovative features, and concepts for new financial productsConvincingly present new initiatives, evaluating feasibility and profitability of the business case, to executives, development team, and partners, gaining their agreement and supportDefine detailed customer experiences and use cases for design and developmentWork closely with various internal teams such as Design, Engineering, Business Development, Legal, and Marketing across different regions including the US, Korea, and India, as well as external strategic partners like payment networks and issuers to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.Define metrics and KPIs to measure the success of the products and develop launch strategies and Go-To-Market plansAnalyze customer feedback and make appropriate improvements and/or create new features based on the findings

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Engineering degree in EE, CS, or similar with 12+ years of experienceExperience in large-scale, mobile-first applications and servicesExperience leading product and roadmap strategy and working with and leading cross-functional teams and external partnerships for implementationDeep understanding of the mobile ecosystem and financial service space with fluency in business models and knowledge of the competitive landscapeA solid drive to succeed, driven by a passion for products, a deep understanding of customer experience, and a strong design senseAbility to gain influence across the business without authorityAbility to leverage business cases and an understanding of development capacity to prioritize product roadmapsAbility to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, navigate large, global organizations, and apply logical thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven product management success in financial services / financial technologyFamiliarity with financial technical infrastructure (e.g. processors and card networks)Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau)Ability to navigate international cultures and work across time zones and willingness to work with a remotely located development and design team.Able to travel domestically or internationally, when required, to meet partners, development team, or other stakeholders.MS Degree in CS/EE and/or an MBA preferredProficiency in Korean language is desirable, but not mandatory

The salary ranges for this role, for candidates based in NYC/California, is expected to be between $228,000 and $253,000 Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
