Director, Product & Merchandising - Apparel (Vans APAC)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Including but not limited to:

Manage a simplified, empowered offense grounded in key ways of working: multi-season approach to product mix; franchise and classification excellence; and managing for product essentials, newness, innovation & exploration.Distill and drive consumer/market insights and strategic concepts into a rolling, multi-season product line architecture that considers the full consumer journey.Drives the APAC apparel product creation strategy while commercial opportunities, including speed creation, celebrating local relevant moments and hyperlocal capsules.Proactively lead product lifecycle management to effectively serve our consumers.Partner with finance and planning to set target financial goals (revenue, units, and margin) and number of consumer choices against attributes (e.g. franchise, consumer dimension).Create regional architecture framework and translate global direction into initial line plan to identify what product we will bring to the consumer, bringing clarity to investment and divestment strategy.Determine and tag product fields for strategic intent (e.g. how a product serves a given consumer), product lifecycle, and pricing architecture.Lead strong partnership with Marketing and Demand Planning to deliver against the Line Plan, ensuring plan meets consumer needs and financial targets.Sets guidelines, targets, and follows through on APAC Adoption inclusive of harmonization targets, while maintaining ongoing Global connectivity with clearly defined checkpoints and feedback loops.Foster strong, integrated partnership with Product peer & team, soliciting input & expertise for agreed-upon Line Architecture.Lead the apparel product and merchandising team

Experience

Minimum Relevant Experience: +10 years’ experience in merchandising, preferably in the fashion industry (Apparel is a plus)

Minimum Supervisory Experience: +5 years

Language Proficiency:

Fluent in : EnglishMandarin is a plus
