JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for strategic leadership of several highly complex or enterprise-wide program(s) with overall responsibility for one or more functional areas. Directs a team to ensure successful integration of several projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Directs a team responsible for delivery of programs and projects covering one or more specific functional areas. Directs a program direction, supporting business case and various enterprise-wide high-level project and program plans.Manages team to ensure integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business. Provides oversight and leadership to other Project Managers in project and resource planning, assigning projects, and providing support to direct report project managers. Responsible for performance review and monitoring continuous improvement plans.Serves as a mentor to program and project managers and project leaders to educate and assist them with implementing project management processes and making improvement/changes.Manages project staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; plans, monitors, and appraises job results.Accountable for the execution of established project management processes and methodologies to ensure delivery of project scope on time and within budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards and customer expectations. Accountable for plans and teamwork assignments, directing work efforts, reviewing integrated project plans, escalating & communicating resource needs, ensuring completion of quality reviews, and driving the resolution of issues as appropriate.Works with senior leadership and Business Consultants to develop program direction and changes.Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the project portfolio on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements.Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers.Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities to achieve the goals of the enterprise.Partners with senior level management with minimal direction.Responsible for managing all aspects of the design, development and implementation of the program.Directs and mentors a team of project managers, portfolio managers and/or other project management staff.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or related field, or equivalent experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Management experience - 5+ yearsManaging complex programs or projects - 8+ years

Advanced management or technical degreeProject Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum
