The Director, Program Planning & Content Strategy will develop and execute innovative windowing and editorial strategies, manage complex rights agreements, and ensure seamless communication of scheduling information. This role includes building strategies for FOX Entertainment and TMZ FAST channels, leading key projects and presentations, and collaborating on the proprietary database to enhance company productivity. The Director, Program Planning & Content Strategy will also support senior leadership in shaping long-term programming strategies and creating macro programming grids to address future challenges. This is a pivotal role in driving FOX's success in a dynamic media landscape.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all non-linear services (Hulu, Tubi, Video-On-Demand, Fox.com) for FOX Entertainment.Create all program schedules and strategies for both in-season (80% of time) and out-of-season (20% of time) FOX Entertainment content on non-linear services in conjunction with Legal, Business Affairs, Marketing, FOX Entertainment Global, and Distribution Advanced Services.Ensure accurate individual episode schedules on a multi-platform structure that prevents breaches of contracts with studios, producers and our Cable/Digital partnersBuild all FOX Entertainment and TMZ 24/7 FAST channels that are available on Tubi and external servicesLead on all department projects and presentations in collaboration with EVPSupport the VP and EVP to create budget grids and alternate planning gridsManage the dissemination of schedule information to metadata services and external stakeholders (affiliates, listings services, show runners, production companies, internal teams).Develop and maintain FOX Scheduling VPS database.Research and analyze competitor program planning.Review episodic cuts to identify scheduling opportunities or challengesWHAT YOU WILL NEED
7+ years of experience at a traditional media or streaming company with a focus on program planning, scheduling or strategyStrong verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of current television/media landscape.Basic understanding of broadcasting and film formatsProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Excellent organizational and project management skillsAbility to multitask and adapt to changing prioritiesBachelor’s Degree#LI-DNI

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $95,000.00-125,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $79,100.00-104,100.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
