The Project Management Office (PMO) Director is responsible for end-to-end program/project management practices, facilitating business transformation and driving increased adoption and adherence to PDP/PPM for the Residential HVAC and Supply business. The scope of responsibilities includes demand, pipeline, project and financial management; to include deployment and adherence to Trane Technologies program management standards (PDP/PPM); effectively managing the project pipeline to optimize delivery; financial management activities to ensure we are responsibly and effectively managing budgets; resource management activities to ensure effective utilization and capacity management; and developing and maintaining the overall project execution goals of the company on behalf of the business Senior Leadership Team.

Where is the work:
Hybrid:
This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What you will do:
• Partner with cross-functional department leaders to understand their portfolio, business strategy, prioritization, etc. to facilitate pipeline management and project execution across the organization.
• Provide executive visibility to project, program, portfolio and functional level status, issues, risks, costs, etc.
• Oversee Demand Control Processes, Resource Planning/Scheduling, Delivery Management, Business Change Management, Benefits Realization, and Strategy Refresh components of the Portfolio.
• Manage development of Performance Metrics, KPI’s and Dashboards to meet QDC targets.
• Guide and coach Program and Project managers daily.
• Responsible for company wide deployment of PDP/PPM Project Management processes, governance, and project performance standards.
• Apply a pragmatic approach to delivery Projects & Programs and Proven Project/Program Delivery Experience.
• Be responsible for ongoing training/educating to the organization about PDP/PPM and PMI project/program management methodologies and practices.
• Lead and influence others including those more senior.
• Responsible for educating, certifying, and providing ongoing reinforcement to the organization about Program/project management methodologies and practices.
• Be responsible for supporting the PM Community by reinforcing and sharing best practices, tips, tricks, templates, and lessons learned.
• Analyze project data and monitor ongoing adherence to processes. Oversee and manage process auditing initiatives in close partnership with the PM managers/leaders.
• Represent and ensure Project Management community needs and requirements are understood and represented on system and process change initiatives.
• Manage roll-out plans and education activities around process and system change initiatives.
• Drive alignment of practices across various product lines while ensuring that the business operation is scalable to meet the needs.
• Identify, define, develop, and implement techniques to improve project management productivity, increase efficiency, and mitigate risks.
• Maintain oversight and reporting metrics for the entire project portfolio.
• Ability to travel 10-25% required.
What you will bring:
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering).
• At least 10+ years of work experience in project or program execution is required.
• PMI or PMP Certification required.
• MBA or Advance Program Management Accreditation (preferred).
• 10+ years of project/program execution is required.
• PMO management and leadership experience required.
• People management experience required (direct reporting relationship).
• 5+ years of design or manufacturing engineering experience (preferred).
• 5+ years of Lean process improvement experience in product development (preferred).
