Director, Public Health Partnerships

Strategy- Works with IQVIA and government (specifically USAID) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs/foundations, etc.) leaders to develop strategies to achieve their global health goals. Works with the internal Global Public Health Center of Excellence (CoE) team to define and execute strategies for achieving those outcomes. Develop and maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of customer mission, their organization, and the political, economic, and technical environment that impacts customer organization and mission. Maintain a current understanding and assessment of the customer needs and priorities and their relationship to IQVIA’s capabilities/offerings. Develop and maintain customer strategic analyses.

Customer Engagement - Proactively engages with customers on the realization of their mission and program outcomes. Provides customers with insightful, fact-based, unbiased advice on the realization of those outcomes. Builds partnerships within and across health agencies, and between government and industry, academia, etc. Proactively and deliberately engages with customers and stakeholders, providing thought leadership to advise and help shape mission goals. Ensure that engagements with customers and stakeholders are planned, coordinated, and communicated appropriately.

Analysis - Applies a thorough understanding of agencies’ organization, mission, and capabilities to identify opportunities, risks, and trends. Brings the analysis of colleagues to bear on needs of prospective and current customers. 

Pipeline and Work Integration - Identifies and shapes opportunities in partnership with IQVIA colleagues and industry partners. Accurately forecasts and maintains records of relevant pipelines to include Start Date, Value, Capability Demand, Partner Engagement, overall Period of Performance, etc. Ensures opportunities are shaped to closely align with the needs and priorities of customers. 

Account Planning - Accountable for ongoing assessment and analysis government customer needs and environment and growth strategy development, updating these analyses regularly to ensure that they are current and accurate.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced using Salesforce to track pipeline and customer engagement
- Experienced developing robust stakeholder maps by organization
- Experienced in price-to-win strategy and leading pricing as the Capture Lead/SME
- Experience with gate reviews and knowledgeable of Shipley processes/methods 
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience working in a collaborative, matrixed, environment.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, quality-oriented environment.
- Direct experience designing, implementing, or evaluating government health programs, interventions, or policies.
- Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders within agencies and other non-governmental organizations.
- Familiarity with broader government health programs and strategic priorities is also desirable.
- Familiarity with and/or previous experience managing government projects specifically within USAID, and other multilateral global organizations like WHO, PATH, WEF, Global Fund, CEPI and foundations.
- Intellectual curiosity, creativity and a fondness for solving big challenges.
PhD, DSc, MPA, MPH, MHA or similar degree from a competitive academic program in a relevant field.

Required Qualifications:
-Deep experience and robust network of relationships with USAID, and other multi-lateral global organizations.
-Strong understanding of the military and veteran health systems and related opportunities and challenges.
- 10+ years of experience working with government health agencies/programs, including 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience presenting to and engaging with executive-level audiences.
- Passionate about improving health and well-being.
- An ability to develop working relationships within IQVIA across all levels of staff, management and executives to leverage IQVIA’s deep experience across a broad set of domains.

Minimum Qualifications:
- BS and 10 years of related experience.
- Proven track record in developing and sustaining long term relationships with clients
- Previous experience of generating revenue, and P&L

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $134,200.00 - $249,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
