THE OPPORTUNITY:

As the ANZ ITOM Sales Director at Open Text, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of the IT Operations Management business. This includes strategic planning, and the execution of plans to meet or exceed assigned sales objectives and quotas.  As a seasoned sales professional, you know how to engage, motivate and develop a team of high performing Account Executives and will be spending the majority of your work time coaching and developing your team to enable their success. 

 

ABOUT OUR IT OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT BUSINESS:

 

Service Management - Provide intuitive, no-wait self-service through a single interface for business and IT users using automation and virtual agents – powered by machine learning. With our single solution for ESM, ITSM, ITAM and cloud management, users quickly get what they want without burdening IT support staff.

Service Assurance - Shift to Full-Stack AIOps-based operations for automated discovery, monitoring, and remediation. Gain a clearer view of service health using patented algorithms and the OPTIC Data Lake to spot anomalies faster and transform volumes of data into actionable insights for faster problem resolution.

Service Governance - Take a proactive, consistent approach to patch compliance, backups, and budget control across heterogeneous servers, databases, middleware, networks, and cloud services. Improve your ability to protect key services while IT transparently guides cloud spending across the organization.

Service Fulfilment - Design and deploy on-demand, best-fit resources from traditional IT. From cloud-native, to hybrid; keeping your cloud strategy vendor-independent. DevOps and business teams can cut fulfilment cycle times, while satisfying a wide range of resource requests through adaptive design blueprints.

 

 

 

YOU ARE GREAT AT:

• Leading and directing a team of sales professionals who are able to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quota targets.

• Develop, implement, and measure regional sales strategies and plans complete with accurate forecasts.

• Building of C-Level relationships and strategic partnerships

• Assisting in sales efforts, legal contracting, and in resolving customer issues.

• Growing customer satisfaction across the assigned region by providing exemplary service and support.

• Attracting, engaging and retaining a team of high performing Account Executives.

• Training, developing and directing reports in product knowledge, time and territory management, and competitive knowledge.

• Providing ongoing feedback and coaching and host regularly scheduled performance reviews.

• Participating in various headquarter/regional planning and training activities. 

 

 

WHAT IT TAKES:

• Located in Canberra - knowledge of Federal government and senior connections within ACT is necessary.

• Bachelor’s Degree and significant enterprise software sales experience with prior sales leadership experience

• A knowledge of the IT Operations Management market, its competitors, partners and related industries is preferable but not essential.

• Deep knowledge of Key Account Management, and ideally in managing a team of Account Managers

• Effectively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on every organizational level to “get things done”

• A proven ability to meet or exceed regional sales targets

• A passion for leading a team and a demonstrated ability to drive results through others

• Strong business acumen and an ability to manage strategic plans with partner and company executives

• Ability to analyze complex situations and employ creative and effective decision making to solve problems/achieve results
