This is a remote role with travel as needed in the Eastern Region of the US
Regal Rexnord is seeking a Regional Sales Director working in our Power Efficiency Solutions (PES) America’s Business who will be responsible for leading and driving sales growth of our broad line of electric motors, blowers, pumps, control systems and power transmission products in their assigned region. This role will lead a highly focused team of Sales Professionals that specialize in selling to OEM’s (HVAC, Pump, Power Transmission, etc.) and managing Distribution and Manufacturing Representatives in their assigned territory. The Regional Sales Director is responsible for building a high performing sales organization, defining the regional growth strategy, and executing that strategy to expand market share and achieve their annual sales goals. This role will lead the East Region, which includes the US East Coast from Maine to South Carolina as well as Canada.
PES is one of three operating segments with approximately $1.7 Billion in revenue and produces electric motors, variable speed controls, and air moving solutions which are sold in the residential heating and ventilating, water heating, commercial refrigeration, pump, leisure water, and other OEM and aftermarket products. Brands include Genteq® motors, as well as Fasco®, Elco®, DEC Star®, Leeson, motor and blowers.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high performing sales organization that includes sales professionals skilled at selling to OEM’s as well as sales professionals skilled at managing distribution partners and manufacturers reps
Define the market coverage strategy that enables Regal Rexnord to best serve our existing and new target customers. This coverage strategy will include a mix of direct sales, manufactures representatives, and distribution partners.
Lead the development and execution of the overall growth strategy that secures our existing business and delivers new business from target customers
Create and maintain solid professional relationships with key customers and partners across the industry
Lead successful customer negotiations in developing commercial agreements that maximize competitive positioning and profitable sales
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of key market trends – including emerging regulations, customer preferences, growth segments, and competitive dynamics to enable market outgrowth
Key functional lead and contributor to overall business strategy along with marketing, engineering, customer service, and SIOP
Lead talent and capability development and staffing decisions within the sales function
Lead performance measurement and variable compensation communication and administration
Create and drive a vision that ensures ongoing sense of focus, direction and urgency throughout the sales team
Achieve and maintain trust and confidence of all internal functions as required to add team value and achieve goals
Maintain conduct in accordance with Regal Rexnord vision, mission, values, initiatives and company policies
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Technical or related field
10+ years industry sales leadership and success
Experience leading a team with direct reports
Experience in balancing internal and external demands and responsibilities in a matrix environment
Experience building and converting a CRM opportunity funnel
Strong customer orientation with ability to build executive level relationships
Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to lead and motivate team members
Strong computer skills – Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Ability to work Independently and remotely
High level of personal initiative and ownership of results
Must reside in US part ofregion - preferably near a major metro area
Desired Qualifications:
Proven track record of profitable growth
OEM and Distribution sales experience
Experience with PT, Leisure Water, or HVAC/R industries selling to OEM and Distribution accounts
Use of Power BI
Experience working with 80/20, Policy Deployment methodologies
Experience with CRM and forecasting tools
Location: East Coast US including Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina & South Carolina. Canada.
Travel: ~50%
Pay Transparency - $175,000 to $225,000 base salary + variable compensation (
