Reporting to the Senior Director of the South End location, the Director of South End Administration is responsible for providing leadership in support of the various departments & operations at the South End location including Primary Care, Vision/Optical, Dental, Recovery Services, Behavioral Health, Registration, Call Center, the HASS Center, facilities and other essential services. May be assigned direct reports from the Primary Care or other department and provide some Administrative Director support/ tasks as assigned by Senior Director. Collaborates with Senior Director, Executive, Medical, Nursing, Operations, Quality and Patient Advocacy Leadership, for South End and EBNHC at large “One Company”. Assists with driving health center initiatives against key health center goals, volume, access, employee and patient experience. Assists the Senior Director in working with administrative directors, medical directors and Executive Leadership to develop and manage cross-cutting initiatives that improve performance. Provides support to the Senior Director in assessing, planning, implementing and sustaining change and improvement across the South End site/ location. Participates or leads strategic, clinical/ administrative priorities and special projects at the South End site as assigned by the South End Senior Director, Chief Operating Officer, or VP of Health Center Operations..Essential Duties & Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Senior Director, Vice President of Health Center Operations, and C.O.O. review and make recommendations for changes to clinical workflows and practices to support the department’s efficiency.Ability to lead the strategic, clinical/ administrative priorities and special projects at the South End site as assigned by the Senior Director, VP of Health Center Operations and/or the Chief Operating Officer.Provide support and structure through a project life cycle.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Experience in change management and project management.Design, implement, and oversee the department’s performance improvement efforts.Collaborate with the Medical Director of Quality Improvement and Risk Management on QI/QA projects at the South End location.Coordinates with EBNHC Director of Nursing and BMC Quality and Patient Safety as relates to the South End locationAbility to supervise, mentor, and train professional staff.Ability and experience with written and verbal presentations to senior staff.Makes recommendations for the efficient and effective use of service operations through optimal use of resources.Strategizes and develops plans, with the Senior Director, to target growth and strategic opportunities.Attend internal and external meetings and committees as required.Ability to prepare information, statistics/ dashboards, power point presentations for special projects assignedAbility to identify, evaluate and recommend methods to implement in order to optimize operating costs, distribution of personnel and workflow.Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance.Promote a sense of “team work” through demonstration of self-direction and self-motivation.
