As the Director, Small Business Credit Cards, you will lead growth and portfolio plans for our suite of Small Business credit cards. The role will require energy and enthusiasm to establish a new team, responsible for ensuring strategies, plans and initiatives are delivered to meet our client needs, financial objectives, and within the risk appetite of the Bank.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Identify, assess and incorporate external trends and innovation to deliver on new growth opportunities and product strategies Define and execute a multi-year strategic plan to accelerate business and financial performance, including tactical campaigns that will drive client acquisition and engagement Drive financial performance through ongoing review and analysis of P&L trends and identification of risks and opportunities Expertly create and manage strategic investments, and the P&L across small business credit cards Flawlessly executive on priority initiatives and strategic projects by collaborating across Canadian Banking and with functional partners to drive results Establish effective business routines to monitor portfolio performance, engage shareholders, and drive forward strategic initiatives Partner closely with the Small Business team to ensure Scotiabank offers client-centric solutions that deepen relationships Partner closely with the Retail credit cards team to incorporate best practices and share learnings Create a client obsessed culture which harnesses the power of analytics and data in decision making to deepen customer relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge Build a high performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team; foster an inclusive work environment, coach for success, lead development activities for the team Foster a coaching mindset and effectively communicate the strategic vision, values, business strategy and Team principles Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicate the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams

Significant experience working the in the financial services industry with a focus in credit cards and/or payments Experience with small business client segments is considered an asset Recognized and resilient team leader who inspires a results oriented customer-centric culture Exceptional business planning, product strategy development and execution skills Proven relationship management skills with demonstrated seamless collaboration across multiple stakeholders
