Sodexo is seeking a Director, Soft Services for a life science client in Rahway, NJ. This position will function as the Soft Services Team Lead and involves overseeing non-technical facilities management services, including custodial, landscaping, pest control, security, and snow removal. The Soft Services Team Lead ensures the efficient delivery of these services, coordinating with service providers, managing budgets, and implementing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. This position plays a vital role in fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders, including staff, tenants, contractors, and suppliers, while ensuring the facility meets the needs of the organization and its occupants.

What You'll Do Oversee daily Soft Services operations, including grounds, housekeeping, landscaping, pest control, and snow removal across multiple sites in Rahway, NJ and surrounding areas.Measure team performance, implement productivity improvements, and design service schedules and routines for efficient operations.Monitor security services, coordinate internal security personnel, and conduct inspections to ensure a safe, high-quality workplace.Support technology implementation, recommend improvements, and track customer feedback to drive service enhancements and maintain satisfaction.Manage financial performance, including monthly P&L preparation, budgeting, and reporting to ensure cost-effective service delivery.Build strong client relationships through regular meetings, performance reviews, and continuous improvements to exceed SLAs, enhance service quality, and maintain compliance with safety and operational standards. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business administration, hospitality, or a related field.Over 6 years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on soft services, ideally in a life science environment.Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing in-house contractors and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, Smartsheets, and facilities management software applications.Knowledge of health and safety regulations, environmental sustainability practices, and risk management principles.Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and maintain service quality while building strong client relationships.
