Title and Summary
Director, Software EngineeringOverview:The Data Governance & Regulation (DG&R) team is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple teams overseeing critical initiatives tied to data enrichment and data usage visibility.
Role:
Specifically, this role will:
* Lead engineering for multiple scrum teams and manage software operations with solid knowledge of required services.
* Oversee staffing, training, and objective setting for the team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and behaviors to perform tasks effectively.
* Interact with developers and requestors to identify project scope, manage software requirements, and control project planning.
* Ensure departmental and staff education, training, and cross-training needs are met, and communicate goals, objectives, and performance expectations.
* Review and implement policy changes with minimal customer or staff interruption, and approve the development or revision of operational processes and procedures.
* Recommend annual cost center budget, strategic direction, and policy changes, ensuring appropriate expenditures within the approved budget.
* Address operational and business concerns related to future business programs, projects, or enhancements to maintain consistent delivery of quality services.

* Ability to translate complex technical matters into actionable plans and advanced knowledge of business functions.
* Proven experience in leading and managing senior technical staff, fostering open communication across various organizational levels.
* Skills to motivate direct and indirect reports to deliver superior results and provide functional and directional guidance.
* Ability to interact across multiple organizational levels, lead large or complex projects, and recommend policy or strategic direction changes.
* Bachelor's Degree in a related functional area or equivalent work experience, with exposure to management theories and concepts.
* Budget and financial management experience, along with 8+ years of experience in software solutions delivery.
* Experience in preparing and delivering executive-level presentations and mentoring and developing resources in a high-performance culture.
