About the role:
We are seeking a visionary Director of Front-End Technology to join our growing team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction for our front-end development efforts, building and scaling our front-end architecture, and mentoring a talented team of developers.
What you will do:
Lead the front-end development team in designing and building user interfaces for our next-generation digital products with focus on consistent customer experience (CX) across Web and Mobile platforms.
Champion the adoption of modern front-end technologies and best practices, including micro-frontends and Multi-experience Service Architecture (MESA).
Partner with the Reliability engineering team to measure and improve critical Web Vital metrics
Solid understanding of various analytics tools to effectively measure and optimize the user experience.
Define and implement a scalable and maintainable front-end architecture to support future growth and innovation.
Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, back-end engineers, and product managers to ensure a seamless user experience across all platforms.
Stay up-to-date on the latest front-end trends and technologies, and actively evaluate and implement new tools and libraries to improve efficiency and performance.
Foster a culture of learning and mentorship within the front-end team, providing guidance and support for professional development.
Develop and maintain a strong focus on code quality, performance optimization, and accessibility.
Partner with other technical leaders to establish a cohesive development strategy across the organization.
Contribute to the overall product roadmap by providing technical expertise and insights.
What you will need:
10+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong understanding of web development principles (HTML, CSS3, JavaScript).
In-depth knowledge of implementing Angular (15+) front-end frameworks and libraries with a strong background in Typescript, NgRx, Node.Js and webpack, or similar programming languages.
Experience with micro-frontends and Multi-experience Service Architecture (MESA) is a plus.
Expert in Restful and GraphQl subscription-based API integration for real-time communication.
Strong design patterns and architecture experience for designing resilient and performing front-end applications.
Experience of working on SAAS products/ product companies
Proven experience in leading and mentoring a front-end development team.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Passion for building high-quality, user-friendly web experiences.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Good to have skills:
A strong understanding of accessibility best practices.
Knowledge on other front-end frameworks such as (e.g., React and Vue.js)
Experience with headless CMS and API integrations.
