Director, Solution Consulting - Public Sector

What you'll do The Director of Presales Solution Consulting, Public Sector (PS) is responsible for managing a team of Presales Managers and Presales Solution Consultants (individual contributors) who support our field sales teams in the PS vertical. This team discovers and understands customer business challenges, complex processes, and architectural landscapes in order to build world-class integrated solutions using Docusign’s platform and suite of products. Through engaging stories and custom-built demonstrations, these subject matter experts illustrate the value and benefits of modernizing a prospect’s System of Agreement through Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management offerings. The Director is accountable for coaching and developing Managers and individual contributors, helping them to drive adoption and usage with customers and prospects in collaboration with internal teams and the broader Docusign partner ecosystem. This position is a people manager role reporting to the Senior Director, Solution Consulting. Responsibility Be the PS industry thought leader representing Docusign’s solutions to the market Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to develop and complete PS go-to-market strategies Lead a team of highly skilled professionals across North America, expanding Docusign’s presence in the PS market Empower and coach team to uncover, comprehend, and document complex business challenges and insights, enterprise architecture, and product roadmap presentations Direct opportunity engagement and skills alignment with Docusign’s strategic Federal, SLED and SMG accounts Drive excellence in knowledge, engagement and interactions inter-team, with customers and our field Provide subject matter mentoring and training to the team Validate and contribute to NA PS go-to-market strategies Oversee the impact and creation of product demo functionality, customer engagements and proof of concepts Partner with product management to address product developments, releases and functionality Support marketing events such as user conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc. and participate in speaking engagements to provide Docusign’s point of view on industry solutions Stay current on competitive analyses and understand market differentiators between the company and its competitors across the team Understand business and technical problems addressed by the products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, security, etc. Act as an executive speaker at events and conferences Provide voice-of-the-business internal to Docusign driving market strategy and competitive take outs Job Designation Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time. Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 12+ years overall experience in PS presales 5+ years of first and second line people management experience within PS software presales BA/BS or equivalent experience in a business or a technical-related field of study from an accredited college or university Preferred 15+ years overall experience in a technical Presales role selling enterprise level software with experience managing teams Working knowledge of PS sub-vertical business models and LOBs Strong understanding of PS regulatory bodies their role in PS sub-verticals Familiarity with The Legislative Process and ability to forecast PS industry response Working knowledge of PS software vendor ecosystem Demonstrated PS thought leadership collateral and public speaking Track record of building, coaching and enabling a rapidly growing team Proven experience working with employees at all levels of an organization Ability to drive value selling methodologies Proven success in selling SaaS solutions and leading teams that sell SaaS products Familiarity with Enterprise-class software systems such as ERP, CRM, and ECM Familiarity with electronic signature concepts Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail Willingness to travel 50% or more as needed Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $177,000.00 - $266,350.00 base salary Illinois and Colorado: $169,000.00 - $245,050.00 base salary Washington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $169,000.00 - $256,650.00 base salary Washington DC: $177,000.00 - $256,650.00 base salary This role is also eligible for the following: Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance. Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
