Position Overview:
As a member of the National Product Supply Group, this role plays an integral part in enabling NPSG’s mission of supporting all Regional Producing Bottlers (RPBs) by maximizing System production efficiencies and market opportunities to strengthen the competitiveness of the Coca-Cola System in the United States. NPSG’s mission is fulfilled through governance of (1) Network optimization of production to distribution center sourcing for concentrate, cold-fill products (2) Strategic capital investment and divestment planning; and (3) New product/packaging innovation planning.
The Director of Sourcing Optimization is an expert in the areas of network modeling and distribution delivery systems and is responsible for translating network modeling results into financial and business case recommendations to Senior Leadership across RPB’s and the NPSG Board. This position will lead a team of Supply Chain Managers, own the Sourcing Optimization project pipeline, and have responsibility for the maintenance of optimization tools and identification of ongoing process improvements.
These activities require strong analytical capabilities, extensive network modeling software knowledge, ability to collaborate and manage cross-functional project teams, demonstrated ability to mentor and develop the skillset of others, and effective communication of complex business cases to senior leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 4-5 Supply Chain Managers who are responsible for the development of supply chain assessments in support of sourcing optimization initiatives and new product launches
Provide coaching and support to team as needed from a technical perspective (network optimization software, analytics) and process / governance perspectivePrepare team members for business case reviews with NPSG Board and Bottler Supply Chain Leaders, ensuring work is accuratePresent the work of team as needed as outlined aboveLeverage Performance Enablement process to ensure clarity of performance expectations and prioritization of workResponsible for recruiting and onboarding efforts for teamEnsure associates have defined development plans in place and monitor / support progress against them. Leads positively to drive engagement of teamManage portfolio of work between Sourcing Optimization projects and Innovation projects. Prioritize work for team members across the portfolio of projects helping to enable a networked organization
Ownership of project pipeline for Sourcing Optimization projects
Support the process to refresh baseline national sourcing model that is utilized by National Product Supply Group for governed sourcing analyses
Provide leadership to internal resources through refresh activities, inclusive of collection of cost, demand, and production inputs from 14 Regional Producing Bottlers (RPBs)May be called on to establish timelines for model refresh and manage team against thoseProvide leadership in the definition and execution of established exception management routines that may result in tailored validations across impacted RPBs for purposes of maintaining ongoing model accuracyProvide leadership to internal resources responsible for the process of monthly updates and error checking to the model throughout the yearDevelop processes and routines to monitor model accuracy and develop update processes to ensure model is representative of the bottler network.Conduct critical stakeholder engagement/management routines
Ownership of the Monthly Sourcing Council routine: defining agenda; working with topic owners on content; driving conversations on areas require RPB perspective and/or alignment; run professional session with pre-read, attendance; notes.Ownership of bottler/RPSG-specific stakeholder routines (as needed): ensure awareness and alignment on pipeline prioritization; address RPB questions/concerns; keep NPSG Board Members aware of initiatives for their ownershipPresent project-based findings and recommendations to NPSG Board and Forum members, Senior Leadership within RPB’s / CCNA, Regional Bottler Personnel, CCNA Brand and Commercial LeadershipDrive continuous improvement initiatives/projects
Independently identify, define, and implement process improvement opportunities both internal to NPSG and cross-functionallyWork broadly with stakeholders to understand end-to-end implications and dynamics of process improvements/changesIdentify opportunities to leverage new software or tools that improve process efficiency in network optimizationQualifications / Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in the areas of Engineering, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline5+ years of network modeling or supply chain optimization experience, preferably within the beverage industry or CPG field, 7+ years of supply chain experienceUnderstanding of network optimization principles, linear programming, and relational databasesSkills:

$137,000 - $161,000Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
