The mission of Charles Schwab Trust Bank (CSTB) is to bring together expertise and resources to help deliver the best trust and custody services for Schwab Retirement Plan Services, independent recordkeepers and investment advisors through offering a broad range of investments, technology, products, and services that meet the needs of retirement plan providers and the participants they serve. The CSTB Specialty Product team is responsible for the administration and oversight of the Charles Schwab Trust Bank Collective Trust Funds, Automated IRA, Employer Stock and Regulatory Relations.
We are seeking a people leader that understands CSTB. A detail-oriented self-starter who will oversee the Specialty Products team. The Director, Specialty Products will understand the retirement industry and current regulatory environment. The Director will possess an understanding and knowledge of policies and processes governing banking, trust, and custody services. This leader will motivate, inspire, and develop a diverse team responsible for performing and executing on our organization’s purpose and mission. The Director will report to the Managing Director of Risk, Control and System Platform Management and will manage a team based in multiple locations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Identifying the vision for Specialty Products needs and developing an actionable plan to meet those needs.Driving business results by prioritizing and leading large and small project initiatives to improve RBS processes.Understanding of the organization’s obligations to meet internal and external expectations by regulators, auditors, and business partners.Creating a work environment that promotes employee engagement by setting clear expectations and consistently providing feedback, coaching, and recognition that helps employees maintain a high level of performance.Identifying and fostering talent for CSTB Specialty Products.Exemplifying the vision and values of Schwab. What you have7+ years of experiencing managing teams. 5+ years of financial services industry experience (brokerage and bank preferred).Internal and external client focus; ability to build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence effectively and quickly.Ability to identify and solve complex issues in a team environment working with various levels of management and business partners.Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally; proven track record of establishing proactive, constructive dialogue with senior business leaders and peers.Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Ability to execute challenging conversations with internal partners and external clients.Strong organizational skills with ability to lead a team on multiple assignments to completion within established deadlines.Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Base Compensation: $101,000- $224,400.
