We are seeking a Director, Strategic HR Projects, to join Metso Group HR. You will have the chance to drive impactful HR projects on a global scale, collaborate with diverse teams, and shape the future of Metso’s HR operations. In this role, you will report to the Vice President, People Operations Development in the Group HR team.
This position is located in Espoo, Finland.

You will join a team of HR operations and system professionals dedicated to driving efficient, innovative, and impactful global HR operations. We are passionate about enhancing HR technologies, maintaining data integrity, and delivering insights. Our team strives to optimize people processes, support global and regional HR functions, and enable sustainable growth through effective HR practices. The members of our team are located in Finland and USA.
What you’ll do
Lead impactful HR projects that shape the future of our global HR operations. Collaborate across businesses, functions and countries to ensure seamless project execution and resourcing. Champion change management to enhance HR’s own, as well as employee and manager experiences.
Your first, larger project will be the development and implementation of AskHR; a global GenAI solution and case management system. Since 2024 we have already piloted a couple of technologies, and our target is to identify the best technical solution and then implement it in all Metso HR regions and countries. This project will enable us to innovate our HR operation model and capabilities to support Metso’s strategic targets and direction. In this project, your role will be:
Lead the project collaborating with IT and Region HR teams to ensure successful implementation. Ensure proper resourcing and deliverables for best outcomes and schedule. Innovate HR operational model and capabilities in collaboration with the global HR Leadership Team to enable the best outcomes for Metso HR.
Who you are
Experienced HR business partner for global businesses, with an understanding of local HR operations. Keen interest in the world of work trends and global HR technologies. Strong project, communication, and change management skills. Able to lead within a matrix organization. Enjoy taking responsibility for various people related topics, while always learning something new.
