What you'll do As the Director, Strategic Sourcing, you are a highly accountable leader who is responsible for developing an extraordinary sourcing program, delivering procurement engagement with key business partners, recruiting and developing great talent, establishing category strategies, and driving spend management initiatives. You will lead a team of sourcing professionals who are passionate about innovating and driving value. You are a strategic problem solver with demonstrated sourcing program transformation, category management, and business relationship building expertise, and someone capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy. You enjoy communicating with impact to influence cross-functional leadership as well as team members. This position is a people manager role reporting to the Sr. Director, Procurement & Sourcing. Responsibility Build, coach, and encourage a team made up of high-performing sourcing professionals supporting all key Docusign supplier spend areas Shepherd development and execution of category management plans, sourcing events (e.g. RFPs, RFIs), supplier negotiations, sourcing playbooks, and sourcing intake and pipeline processes and tools Collaborate with Procure to Pay Operations and cross-functional partners to deliver a seamless, customer-centric suite of procurement services to Docusign Partner with senior business leaders to help navigate complex operations and spend initiatives with significant spend and risk, driving cross-functional cost containment efforts Spearhead the development and delivery of analytical reports on savings, metrics, and key performance indicators to monitor progress against objectives and key results Strategize and build frameworks and operating models to support efficient, scalable delivery of strategic procurement services to meet the needs of a fast-growing and dynamic technology company Develop and continuously improve supplier spend management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and control frameworks Work with partners to deliver on work-streams such as budget planning and category management activities Provide key leadership on supplier risk and performance issues Deliver on complex RFIs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, enterprise spend management initiatives, and contract review processes and procedures Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 12+ years of increasing strategic procurement/sourcing leadership experience, including expertise building and leading teams of sourcing professionals at mid-to-large companies 10+ years of deep-cycle strategic sourcing experience with technology, complex processional services, marketing, and other indirect spend categories, including negotiating large-scale enterprise technology agreements and managing sourcing engagement with technology senior leadership 7+ years of management experience Experience using procure-to-pay, sourcing, procurement workflow, market intelligence, spend analytics, and contract management software solutions Preferred MBA, JD, or similar Procurement professional certification, such as CPSM, CIPS, CSP Experience with Oracle or similar P2P systems Experience implementing and using tools such as Scout/Workday Strategic Sourcing, Zip, Globality, or similar procurement intake, orchestration, and eSourcing tools Procurement leadership experience for software companies, with an understanding of how to navigate supplier/customer 360 degree relationship opportunities Passionate about achieving desired outcomes and delivering high-quality results for partners Experience using Tableau or other data visualization tools Ability to lead sophisticated initiatives and collaborate effectively with cross functional partners Enjoys the process of developing and continuously improving engagement and sourcing programs, engagement models, playbooks, sourcing intake/pipelines, and other sourcing procedures and tools Track-record of delivery on difficult, multi-dimensional sourcing initiatives for a broad range of spend categories Excellent communication and presentation skills Outstanding critical thinking, process improvement, and analytical skills with commitment to measuring and monitoring using critical metrics Consistently demonstrate an understanding of organizational priorities, attention to detail, and financial foresight Ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities and make decisions with limited information. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and championing change Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $171,500.00 - $277,025.00base salary Washington: $164,800.00 - $242,225.00 base salary This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
