The Director of Strategic Supplier Marketing is responsible for the financial performance of strategic suppliers across Avantor commercial platforms and leads the development and execution of marketing strategies in support of those suppliers. The successful candidate will leverage customer and sales analytics to create compelling marketing strategies for target strategic accounts, pitch supplier teams on the costs and benefits of the programs, provide timely feedback on campaign performance, and optimize campaign success using data-driven insights.
The Director will work largely independently, managing a team of supplier marketers and collaborating closely with portfolio and strategic marketing teams across the organization to develop a comprehensive marketing plan that maximizes return on marketing spend and advances strategic initiatives.
What we’re looking for:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences, marketing, business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) Experience: 8-10 years of experience in research science, scientific sales, marketing, or scientific product management Demonstrated experience in supplier management, sales enablement, product launch, solution selling, and account-based marketing Global Perspective: Experience working in a global environment, with an understanding of diverse markets and culturesWho you are:

Strategic Framework Ownership: Lead the development, implementation, and governance of the AVTR strategic supplier tiering framework (VAS), including framework design, tier thresholds, supplier programming, pricing, and supplier performance management guidelines. Financial Accountability: Own the financial performance of the supplier marketing organization, driving top-line growth through supplier marketing activities and maximizing supplier spend on marketing programming for the business. Product Launch Strategy & Execution: Oversee the development and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) launch strategies, ensuring robust pipeline commercialization forecasting and delivery against performance targets. Marketing Campaign Leadership: Design and oversee the implementation of high-level marketing campaigns that support the supplied product portfolio and align with business objectives. Supplier Segmentation & Value Proposition Articulation: Manage the supplier segmentation model and articulate the Avantor value proposition for channel partners, ensuring alignment with supplier needs and business goals. Sales Enablement: Develop and implement supplier-aligned sales enablement programming, providing tools and resources to support commercial teams in achieving sales targets. Supplier Relationship Management: Lead supplier negotiations and maintain strong relationships to ensure alignment on marketing strategies and supplier investment in business growth.
