Job Summary

Brinker is seeking an experienced Director to provide leadership within the Non-FoodProcurement (NFP) team on all strategic activities involving Supply Chain support for assignednon-food spend categories, including smallwares, back-of-house and bar equipment, front-ofhouse furniture, new construction and reimages, and associated restaurant services.The Director will lead a team to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, the
Supply Chain team, and other internal stakeholders (Culinary Operations, Architecture Design, Restaurant Operations, Risk Management) to ensure alignment between businessstrategy and sourcing execution within non-food procurement.It is the Director’s role to ensure the team is positively impacting the business through:
• Sourcing strategies that support Brinker’s goals for reliable product availability, costmanagement and increased profitability,
• Adequate supply of necessary supplies at the right place at the right time
• Strategic review of categories, including assessment and implementation of innovation
• Partnering with cross functional partners to use experience in this area to review andimprove upon our kitchen equipment.

Your Key Job Functions

• Develop and implement Supply Chain strategies for each assigned product category tosupport the joint business objectives of Brinker.
• Lead a productive and engaged NFP team through effective coaching, priority setting,performance management, and talent selection.
• Development of long-term alliances with suppliers and internal stakeholders to leverage the company’s knowledge and purchasing power and secure the best products, service,quality and price in the industry.
• Foster and maintain positive, productive relationships between the NFP team, suppliers,and internal stakeholders.
• Enhance strategies for product sourcing and development, supplier negotiations, andeffective inventory management to support menu rollouts and new productimplementations.
• Analyze complex data, negotiate prices and terms, and develop contractingrecommendations based on sound judgment, problem solving, and financial analysis.
• Fully understand the strategic sourcing model, including editing, reviewing, andmanaging contracts. Ensure contract compliance.
• Continually seek out and develop new suppliers to ensure a competitive edge in theindustry and the lowest possible delivered cost to all Brinker restaurants.
• Oversee the creation, issuance, and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs)using appropriate department processes technology.
• Provide regular reports to group and Supply Chain senior leadership on the status of keysupplier initiatives and innovation for the non-food category; develop a Supplierscorecard.
• Take a lead role in addressing difficult product and stakeholder support issues; convey asense of urgency and drive issues to closure, in a positive and productive manner.
• Ensure that Brinker’s Code of Business Conduct is followed in dealings with all suppliersand distributors.

What You Bring to the Team

• BA/BS or equivalent in skills and training
• 10 or more years of supply chain experience in the restaurant or hospitality industryrequired, along with 5-7 years of management experience.
• Experience in strategically evaluating non-food categories and suppliers (small wares,packaging, décor, and equipment).
• Must also have experience with logistics, supply chain systems and processdevelopment.
• Must have strategic sourcing experience, including reviewing, editing, and approvingcontracts with current future suppliers.
• Leadership - Ability to establish clear expectations aligned with organizational prioritiesa nd build a strong team that can effectively execute against those expectations.
