The Advanced Therapies Director is responsible for leading a Procurement organization of 3-4 resources in support of approximately $300MM or more in spend for Johnson Johnson Companies. They will be responsible for global External Manufacturing (EM) and critical Direct Materials suppliers which bring unique capabilities to Janssen's Advanced Therapies' platform. The category and spend are highly sophisticated in nature, requiring a close collaboration with key stakeholders and within the business. Many of the innovative suppliers are early phase growth and require a supplier development mentality to support our scale. The Director will identify, develop, and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and strategy, as well as the organization's activities, and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service compliance adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead strategic sourcing process and develop and implement sourcing strategy, while understanding long range requirements of business partners and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignmentDevelop and lead price and cost initiatives, including preparing and implement RFQs for highly complex sourcing decisions and conducting negotiations with key suppliersCollaborate directly with CEOs and other supplier leadership to ensure JJ's objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation, and costDeliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitmentsConduct top-to-top meetings with key strategic suppliers that include comprehensive supplier performance management and reviewMaintain a deep subject matter expertise and an informal understanding of industry/ market dynamicsAdvance issues that may impact the Global Procurement organizationBuild and maintain relationships throughout JJ that result in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of efficient approaches and solutions

Minimum 10 years of relevant work experienceExperience within Supply Chain and/or Procurement Experience leading projects and/or change management initiatives, with the ability to set strategy directionStrong business and finance competence Experience in people leadership/management experience (direct or indirect reports), to effectively lead cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to prioritize requests and propose effective cost/customer service alternativesAbility to show judgment in developing innovative approaches and resolving issuesStrong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex informationAbility to effectively influence (with/without direct authority), interpret issues from multiple viewpoints, and understand differing needs of partners (e.g., businesses, Procurement LT, Marketing, RD, Supply Chain)Ability to continuously improve the organization

Preferred:

Proficient with one or more of the following Procurement skills: supplier management and performance, supplier market analysis, category management, and/or Procurement ExcellenceAbility to develop a high level of credibility with internal customers and with the supplier communityProven track record in attracting and developing talent/employeesExperience and proven success in a major change role as both architect and leading implementation

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $146,000 USD to $251,850 USD.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
