Focus: Develop, implement, and manage division-wide processes for optimization of working capital through the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and detailed production planning management.
Director, Supply Chain Essential Functions:
Provide business process direction to Supply Chain Managers at manufacturing locations on the following business metrics: RM, WIP and FG components of working capital forecasting and analyze variances to plan/forecast Production Reporting Accuracy and Inventory Accuracy Production Schedule Attainment Interact with Finance, Sales and Marketing, Procurement, and Manufacturing personnel to ensure consistent methodology and timely information flow for management reviews and operating rate decisions. Develop a comprehensive evaluation of forecast accuracy and publish findings to analyze and identify problematic areas. Manage division-wide S&OP/Production Planning cycle. Work with manufacturing locations to improve the resolution of the production planning process and optimize production and inventory costs to achieve maximum customer fulfillment. Manage blocked inventory and inventory obsolescence/retirement process, assist manufacturing locations with process improvements to reduce trapped working capital. This role will have indirect oversight for the Supply Chain Manager or similar roles at the manufacturing locations, including White Flyer.Director, Supply Chain Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree*; Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Finance discipline preferred. Minimum seven years of related experience; Related experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred. Relevant experience managing Sales and Operations Planning in a multi-plant environment. Experience with optimization of supply chains (supply and demand management) in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with working capital optimization and inventory modeling, supply and demand balancing/planning are preferred. Familiarity with seasonality management in product demand and associated inventory management a plus. Experience with Microsoft Excel; SAP is preferred. Superior organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical, research, and presentation skills. Aptitude to learn, understand, and work with a significant amount of process detail in a logical, detail-oriented manner. Ability to work in a self-directed, autonomous manner, including motivation and aptitude to utilize existing documentation to independently learn and understand the intricacies and operation of the complex web of programs and systems involved in the Forecasting process. Diligence to conduct a multitude of sequential tasks each month with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Approximately 30% travel required.Location-Specific Requirements:
