Director, Talent Acquisition - Talent Sourcing

As Director, Talent Sourcing in the Walmart Talent Attraction team, you will play a critical role in leading our centralized Talent Sourcing organization, driving best-in-class sourcing strategies and partnership with the broader Talent Acquisition org, ensuring the team is a strategic enabler in Walmart’s ability to identify and engage hard-to-find & in-demand talent.

As a core member of the Talent Attraction Leadership Team (reporting directly to the Sr Director, Talent Attraction), you’ll lead, coach and inspire a team of Sourcers and Senior Managers.




About the Talent Attraction Team:

Walmart’s Talent Attraction Team is made up of three core teams: Employer Branding, Recruitment Marketing and Talent Sourcing, and sits within the overall Walmart Talent Acquisition team. Our purpose is simple – inspire millions to want to work at Walmart.

The Talent Sourcing team is responsible for partnering closely with the business and our TA Delivery teams to identify and engage talent for our most critical and in-demand roles across the organization. The team delivers this across three core areas – Strategic Sourcing, Functional Pipelining and High Volume/Hiring Events.

What you'll do...

Create and implement a short- and long-term strategy for Talent Sourcing across Walmart that levels up our ability to search, identify, attract and engage high-quality talent 

Assess current state and identify opportunities to evolve the Walmart Talent Sourcing team, challenging the status quo and pushing us to think differently  

Evolve ways of working from segment aligned to a functionally aligned Sourcing team to enable scale and cross-segment talent sharing  

Influence and lead transformative change, evolving ways of working with TA delivery teams, revolutionizing our partnership dynamics and enhancing productivity  

Work closely with TA Delivery leaders to build out and deliver proactive Sourcing strategies and initiatives (e.g. hiring events)  

Define and implement a proactive insights strategy that puts data in the hands of our Recruiters and Talent Attraction team to enable more informed hiring decisions 

Partner with Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing leaders on shared priorities that help position Walmart as a destination employer 

Utilize data and insights to continuously improve team productivity, business partnership and ways of working  

Evangelize and enable sourcing practices across the organization, extending resources and expertise to areas where direct sourcing partnerships are not provided 

Inspire, coach, and develop your team to foster growth, collaboration, and high performance 

 

What you’ll bring: 

Extensive experience in Talent Sourcing / Talent Attraction, with bonus points for retail or comparable experience 

Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of leading large, high-performing teams and fostering a highly engaged, collaborative work environment 

Strategic and dynamic leadership with a deep understanding of the value an effective Sourcing team can offer 

Previous experience working in a Talent Acquisition COE or a centralized team managing multiple key stakeholder relationships 

Disruptive and innovative thinking, with proven experience delivering new and exciting solutions for attracting talent  

Deep expertise with TA data, demonstrating an ability to draw meaningful insights to inform strategy and decision-making 

An expert relationship builder with an ability to influence and quickly find common ground with others

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
