Kforce's client, a prominent non-profit organization in Washington, DC, is seeking a Tax Director to lead its tax compliance and strategy functions. The ideal candidate will hold a CPA certification and be responsible for managing and overseeing all federal, state, and local tax reporting and regulatory filings. This role involves ensuring compliance, performing in-depth research, and providing strategic support for various tax-related matters. Key Responsibilities: * Draft reports, memos, and disclosures for management and board members, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and tax compliance * Conduct research and provide analysis on a wide range of tax issues, including business operations and reporting related to investments * Lead and coordinate the preparation, review, and filing of tax returns and regulatory reports at federal, state, and local levels * Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to manage tax-related projects and resolve complex tax issues * Oversee special tax-related projects and perform additional duties as needed
