Position Summary

The Director, Technical Product Development - Minka and RP Fans will lead and direct product category initiatives related to fans!

This position will direct and influence the fans entire product line lifecycle from ideation to market launch. The Director will be grounded in deep industry knowledge, product insights, and market understanding. Directs product portfolio management, integrated marketing planning, and pricing management. Developing, and commercializing new product development pipeline, and driving P&L results.

This role is approved for Remote work. Travel will be required. The Minka Group is located in Southern California and RP is located in New Mexico. Travel to factories in Asia, as well.

Job ResponsibilitiesFoster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative thinking and the exploration of new technologies.Develop and implement the fan product development strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and market trends.Mentor and develop team members, ensuring high expertise and collaboration.Collaborate with product managers to create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap.Prioritize features, define timelines, and ensure successful execution of product development projects.Work closely with other departments, including marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure product success.Communicate effectively with partners and build strong relationships across the organization.Monitor and control project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.Identify potential risks in the product development process and implement strategies to mitigate them.Proactively address challenges to ensure successful project outcomes.Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into product development.Ensure products meet high-quality standards through effective testing and quality assurance processes.Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the development lifecycle.Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.Other duties as may be assigned.

Preferred Competencies & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Product Management) and/or 5-10 years’ experience in a multi-channel environment.Proven experience in product development leadership roles, with a successful track record of bringing products to market.Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.Strong experience with Stage Gate and Product Lifecycle ManagementExperience with Commodity/Core Products to Approachable LuxuryExcellent leadership and team management abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.Experience with budget management and resource allocation.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$9,409.50 - $17,467.50

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
