In This Role, You’ll Get To
Collaborate with the senior VIU Solutions and Product teams, Strategic Partner GTM team, the internal development teams, and our Agile sprint teams to create and translate business roadmaps and capabilities into tangible technical implementationsServe as the product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community on the needs, requirements and future strategies of our Customers and Partners to include within our overall VIU productDrive communication and vision between the business, development, platform, data, and operations teamsUncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements for future sprintsIterate on the existing effectiveness of the organization, making the hard decisions to enable our team to capitalize on opportunities to impact our customer experience positivelyPartner with our internal and external marketing teams to translate consumer buying trends into future platform actions and benefitsUnderstand upcoming technology trends and how they impact the VIU RoadmapFollow competitors and conduct capability analysis regularlyAssess and address technical risks related to the overall VIU platform.Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper technical product documentation as needed with the teamWe Are Looking for Someone Who Has the Following Competencies
Strong vision and background in digital technical product capability and market insights in the B2C, B2B and B2B2C spaceSolid experience and knowledge of Partner-based go to market approaches, challenges and interoperability in similar web, platform and mobile productsAbility to harness cross-industry knowledge of leading-edge technical product capabilities and translate that into the vision for the teamStrong inter-team collaboration between various technical, business, marketing, and IT teamsAbility to operate and lead technical product vision in a dedicated Agile sprint process and squadsAbility to drive continued innovation in thinking, requirements, and delivered capabilitiesAn inspirational, collaborative mindset with demonstrated success in building products that customers loveA track record of product-driven growth fueled by a great end to end customer experienceAbility to set product and technology vision and deliverables for the squad and own the outcomeCreate inclusive team environments that foster trust and a sense of empowermentDepartment: CTO Organization
Required Experience: At least 15 years of technical and/or product development with minimum 10 years in a software product owner role (or a product manager or technical manager with hands on experience managing backlogs and collaborating with developers). At least 3-5 years of direct management experience leading product owners.
Experience building and managing high engagement digital consumer products and features on a flexible, services-based, API platform is a big plusManaged product backlog and story refinement meetingsPrioritized the implementation of new features to maximize business value and set specific release timelinesExperienced with development and project management tools like Jira and ConfluenceAbility to build relationship with external customers / partners and users to determine requirements and priorities and validate output of development team sprintsAttention to detail and deadline-focusedExperience or familiarity with tokenization, AI, Mobile, React, Python is a plusStrong user and stakeholder focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skillsExcellent communicator, comfortable having product and technical discussions with both internal and external developers and UX teamsExperience in team environments, working in Agile teams of developers, quality engineers and project managersAbility to facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholdersRequired Travel: Up to 15% as needed
Required Education: Bachelors degree, Masters desired
Although Chicago hybrid is preferred, candidates in the US will be considered.

The expected salary range for this position is $160K to $180K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
