Group/Division Summary:The Biosciences Division (BID) is part of the Life Sciences Solutions Group (LSG), with a portfolio that includes Sample Prep, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and the Protein and Cell Analysis business units. These units provide solutions for Life Science workflows, helping researchers address challenges in healthcare, security, energy, and the environment.
Position Summary:You will also build and maintain positive relationships with customers and channel partners to drive customer value and happiness.
What will you do?
Drive product and service adoption in the Molecular Biology and Sample Prep business units to achieve North America revenue growth targets.Monitor market trends and competition; adjust sales strategies as needed; develop both short-term and long-term business strategies.Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Global Market Development to successfully implement NPIs, events, and customer-training courses to improve product showcase and customer acquisition.Take full responsibility for achieving revenue plans through direct sales channels, Territory Sales Specialists, e-Business, and distribution channels.Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate tracking, forecasting, and analysis of business activities; lead CRM inputs per commercial policies.Build and lead a high-performance team by hiring, developing, and engaging dedicated employees.Run the Commercial P&L, including OPEX management, to ensure financial health.Discover and apply inventive methods to secure core businesses and boost efficiency within the business units and across BID.Qualifications:Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or equivalent experience is preferred.Minimum of 8 years of sales experience and 5 years of successful sales management experience in the life science or related industry strongly preferred.Excellent technical knowledge of Molecular Biology & Sample Prep reagents and instruments, such as automated sample extraction, thermal cyclers, PCR reagents, mass spectrometry reagents, etc.Must have strong management, interpersonal, and an excellent communicator with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts and effectively influence others.Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, establish and meet ambitious revenue growth objectives, and develop strong working relationships across the business.Excellent presentation skills with proven ability to effectively deliver business strategies and conduct business reviews.Strong personal character with a customer-centric approach, broad business insight, and ability to navigate complex and dynamic market conditions.Conclusive leader capable of growing in a fast-paced business environment.Ability to think critically, articulate a vision, and encourage others to follow.Willingness to take calculated risks and make objective, data-driven decisions.Physical Requirements:Willing to travel extensively up to 50%.BenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
