The Tepper Academic and Administrative Services (TAS) unit at the Tepper School of Business offers a variety of administrative services, including but not limited to; seminar and conference coordination, support for faculty teaching and course preparation, reimbursements, faculty recruiting, and survey development, to the faculty and staff. TAS also undertakes special projects that support the school's academic and administrative missions.
We are seeking a new Director of TAS to lead the team, providing both strategic and tactical direction. The Director will collaborate closely with faculty and staff leadership to maintain alignment between TAS’s services and the school's administrative needs. Besides managing the team daily, the Director will also handle an active portfolio of administrative tasks and projects.
Core responsibilities include:
Managing the Academic Services unit that provides administrative and academic support to the Faculty and Staff members at the Tepper School of Business.
Supervising (and hiring when there are openings) staff, providing training, distributing and reviewing work, conducting performance appraisals, etc.
Evaluating performance and coaching for performance improvement.
Fostering strong relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure TAS services meet their needs; Meeting with faculty and staff leadership to discuss new projects, assigning appropriate resources and gathering feedback on work accomplished.
Managing and administering budget and assuring the reconciliation of pcard transactions to appropriate Faculty and Staff accounts
Coordinating activities to assure efficiencies of service and successful project outcomes.
Potentially designing and implementing training sessions for faculty and staff on key administrative processes and tools.
Assessing processes regularly, and identifying and implementing efficiencies
Evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance TAS operations and improve service delivery.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
5-8 years of project management or related experience required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Work Posture: This role may operate on a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of three days on campus. Coordination with the team on adequate office coverage is critical, and additional days on campus may be required to meet project demands.
