American Express’ Global Advertising & Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing and experiences. The team partners with a variety of third parties including agencies and vendors that support the delivery of these innovative brand moments and experiences. As **Director, Third Party Operations** , this individual will lead a team of 5 colleagues to manage the operations processes that support compliant relationships with all agencies, partners and suppliers/vendors that partner with GABM. This leader’s responsibilities will include onboarding, contracting, training and the Third Party Lifecyle & Security Management process for all third parties to ensure that these critical partners are operating efficiently and compliantly to support brand, marketing, insights and experiential work across GABM. This leader will work with agencies and vendors that support media buying, brand strategy, marketing, experiences and insights teams and will act as a central point of contact for the GSM Contracting, TLM teams and Control Management. This leader will be the expert within GABM on Third Party Management and will be responsible for raising awareness in the team on key responsibilities and processes that the GABM team is required to follow. **Job responsibilities** **will include** **:** + Manage the Pre & Post Contract processes including: onboarding, contracting, risk assessment, due diligence collection, ongoing monitoring and other miscellaneous operational processes supporting agencies, vendors, partners and other third parties. + Spearhead the development of a consistent and centralized Intake process for all third parties in GABM. + Develop learning curriculum for GABM to raise awareness and educate the team on various requirements of the TLM program. + Provide senior leadership reporting on the overall management of all third parties. + Collaborate with various stakeholders across GABM, GSM, and OE to ensure processes are effective and enterprise-first. + Ensure all control and compliance metrics for third parties are Satisfactory. + Lead a high performing team of 5 third party relationship managers and analysts **Preferred Qualifications** + Strong collaborator with proven ability to build meaningful relationships and influence across teams and levels + Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and improve upon process gaps to maximize operational efficiency + Proven leader with ability to navigate independently and escalate within the Blue Box to get things done. + Familiarity with or knowledge of the GSM Contracting and/or TLM process + Knowledge of Marketing & Promotions category of Agencies and Third Parties a plus + Ability to think strategically while also focusing on the details and maintaining rigor in project management + Results driven with the ability to work under pressure, navigate through ambiguity, and balance multiple priorities + Excellent communicator with the proven ability to secure leadership buy-in **Qualifications** Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
