Job Description A large financial services firm is looking for two Directors, Trading Engineering to join their Digital Assets group supporting their crypto currency platform. The role will be hybrid onsite in Jersey City NJ and will be a hands-on individual contributor role. The Digital Assets platform is leveraged for storing, trading and servicing digital assets, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. The Digital Asset Trading Team is responsible for platform services and APIs that manage trading of crypto currency. The Platform contains a crossing engine and a smart router that would connect and send client orders to other exchanges and liquidity providers. In addition to aggregating market data and routing orders the platform also includes multiple internal/external facing user interfaces and APIs and services to support the platform. The Director will join a squad responsible for engineering high-performance software solutions for its Crypto Trading business. This role will involve partner & stakeholder engagement, design and release support. This is a hands on, individual contributor role -- you will write code for product features. They are currently rewriting their entire OMS (Java) and need the expertise of senior resources to help drive best practices from an engineering perspective, mentor junior staff by helping set technical direction for software developers by concluding design with other tech leads and architecture, and bring the business knowledge to light. It is imperative that the Director has a deep knowledge in low-latency trading systems and knows how OMS systems work. They will be responsible for designing and implementing technology solutions that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements in an agile environment . Key Responsibilities: Design and implement technology solutions, leveraging expertise in low-latency trading systems (OMS/Smart Order Router). Develop high-performance algorithms for trading and crypto trading, using Java / zero GC pattern. Collaborate with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions to meet business needs. The base salary range for this position is $103,000-$210,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
