INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE:
As part of the Hematology and Nephrology (Hem/Neph) U.S. commercial team, the Director, U.S. Marketing, Market Shaping reports to the VP, US Hematology and Nephrology Business Unit Lead and partners with the US cross-functional and global teams to drive Hem/Neph (TA) late-stage pipeline market shaping and launch strategies and tactics. This is an outstanding opportunity to support launch preparation and market shaping initiatives across multiple products for late-stage pipeline indications and products in the Hem/Neph portfolio. This role will play a pivotal role in identifying critical launch success factors and developing tactics and programs for market shaping and launch success.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading the US commercial launch planning for late-stage pipeline products/indications, including identification of priorities, risks and opportunities, development of launch timelines, budget and resourcing plansLeading the development and execution of market shaping programs and tactics for assigned indications, inclusive of personal and non-personal disease education, unmet needs awareness programsLeading collaboration with global and cross-functional teams on market shaping programs and tacticsDeveloping commercial insights generation plans, KOL target lists and coordinating with appropriate cross-functional teams on KOL engagement plans for late-stage pipeline products/indicationsWorking collaboratively across US commercial team as well as key cross functional partners like global team, medical affairs, market access, patient advocacy, legal and compliance to support detailed execution of launch planning for select pipeline products/indicationsContributing to forecasts and launch uptake projections in partnership with finance and analyticsContributing to or leading commercial insights gathering initiatives, such as market research and advisory boardsDeveloping launch brand value proposition and message platform in partnership with global marketing, medical, HEOR, patient advocacy and market accessDeveloping launch strategy and execution plan across personal and non-personal channel for both HCP and patientsManaging brand AOR and other agencies as well as launch budget for pipeline assets as neededESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
8+ years of experience within biotech/pharmaBachelor’s DegreePrevious launch planning in the U.S. is requiredPrevious pharma/biotech marketing experience (driving HCP and/or Consumer marketing tactics) is requiredDemonstrated ability to think innovatively and drive outstanding customer experienceStrong strategic mindset and business acumenAbility to perform under pressure and to make decisions and recommendations despite uncertaintyExcellent communication skills both written and verbalStrong presentation skills and storytelling to win hearts and mindsExcellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated track record and ability to drive results as an effective team member and cross-functional leaderMust demonstrate an energy, enthusiasm and passion which brings a positive approach to all challenges and teamStrong collaboration, relationship building / networking skillsExcellent problem-solving skills.High sense of ethics and responsibilityAbility to travel as required to meet business needsThe duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.
