Site Name: USA - Pennsylvania - Philadelphia, Upper Providence Posted Date: Feb 4 2025 The Director of US Business Operations in D&T will be part of the US Commercial Digital, Data & Technology team, which is an organization that enables the US Commercial business, a biopharma enterprise comprised of over 3,500 employees that generates over 50% of GSK’s global revenue. This role will focus on performance, organizational and operational support across the team to enable Digital and AI ambitions for the US Commercial Business. The role will work closely with the Chief Digital and Technology Officer in the US to support key strategic efforts, drive business performance by creating discipline to focus on high impact initiatives and facilitating cross-function collaboration across the US and global teams to drive organization priorities. This role will also be responsible for managing operational activities, communications to the wider US D&T organization and People / Talent initiatives. Responsibilities: Supporting the US Chief Digital & Technology Officer in all activities required to manage a successful team: ensure alignment of priorities across different functions, coordinate cross-functional LT discussions to drive decision making and acting as representation for the US D&T team when liaising with US commercial senior level stakeholders Enabling the effectiveness of the US Commercial D&T organization through identifying and implementing simplified operational processes Identifying inefficiencies in organization ways of working and recommending improvements Enabling the organization for the readiness of the future through managing pull through transformation initiatives that are agreed to at the Commercial D&T Leadership team Management of US Commercial DD&T OCDTO reporting to ensure alignment across defined KPI’s and timely cadence of reporting. Facilitate and coordinate the US Commercial DD&T quarterly portfolio reviews with a focus on value delivery and tracking Manage LT meetings, Stand-ups, F2F, etc. and ensure timely and relevant topics, risks, issues, and updates are raised / discussed with LT and SVP and they are properly supported for key engagements. Ensure clear and organized communication across the US Commercial DD&T Tech and to the commercial business, working alongside Global Commercial D&T Ops lead Liaise and partner with US Commercial D&T Tech Leadership on key initiatives that need Business Ops support. Support and manage culture and engagement initiatives for US C DD&T Why You? Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in Digital and Technology Management (Product Manager, Director, Portfolio Management, or Program Management). 10+ years of Management experience Experience in AGILE and SCRUM Preferred Qualifications: Strong leadership to enable the C and M D&T teams by driving effective operations and practices in portfolio management and organizational management. Be able to successfully manage through high conflict and complex situations to ensure critical matters are dealt with appropriately and at pace. Standardization to help define and maintain best practices within the C and M D&T organization Problem solving solutions alongside the US D&T LT and take on a leading role in resolving high impact issues Demonstrate strong leadership skills, communication skills, and listening skills to be able to present strategic visions and ideas and to drive decision making, issue resolution and achieve alignment across all levels within and outside of the Digital and Tech organization. Master’s degree in relevant discipline Extended experience in life science and/or healthcare industries Experience in cross functional and matrixed teams Proven proactive, independent, self-starter; ability to drive through ambiguity in a fast moving and dynamic environment. Excellent collaboration and partnering skills with an ability to gain respect/buy-in from your stakeholders across GSK.
