**What You** **’** **ll Be Doing**
In this role, you will lead an Investigations team responsible for conducting thorough assessments of code of conduct violations and insider risks. You will determine the appropriate type of investigation needed and ensure high-quality, independent investigations are carried out effectively within the US Region. Your responsibilities will include timely case management, presenting findings to executive leadership, and maintaining relationships with law enforcement and financial services contacts to stay informed about potential risks. Additionally, you will focus on enhancing investigative processes through the integration of emerging technologies while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Human Resources, and Fraud Risk Management. Your direct involvement in complex investigations will be crucial to upholding the organization’s integrity and mitigating risks.

**How You'll Succeed**
**Oversight of Investigations**
+ Lead and manage the Investigations team to ensure high-quality, independent investigations into code of conduct violations and insider risks.
+ Determine the appropriate type of investigation based on the nature of the misconduct or risk identified.
**Case Management and Reporting**
+ Ensure timely and effective case management throughout the investigation process.
+ Present findings and insights to executive leadership, providing clear and actionable recommendations.
**Liaison and Networking**
+ Maintain and develop relationships with law enforcement and financial services industry contacts to stay informed about organized crime, criminal threats, and potential risks.
+ Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders as necessary to enhance investigation outcomes.
**Process Enhancement and Technology Integration**
+ Continuously improve investigative processes and insider risk management strategies, incorporating emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements that can be applied to investigations.
**** **Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Foster strong relationships with Legal, Human Resources, Internal Auditing, and Fraud Risk Management teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to investigations.
+ Actively participate in investigations as needed, providing leadership and expertise to complex cases.
**Who You Are**
+ Prosecutorial or law enforcement investigative experience.
+ 5 years plus of managing investigations in either the public or law enforcement environment.
+ Must be comfortable in a matrix environment with a variety of stakeholders and ability to work in a team.
+ Work collaboratively with colleagues, coworkers, vendors and law enforcement to maximize investigative effectiveness.
+ Outstanding leadership and judgement.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft office applications, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
_At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of_ **_$146,000.00 - $190,000.00_** _for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to_ _participate_ _in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus_ _component_ _.
