JOB SUMMARY
The System Director provides technical and administrative leadership and support in a multi-campus - multi-sited Radiology Department performing over 227,000 diagnostic and interventional procedures each year. This role oversees the modalities of Radiography, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Breast Imaging, and Interventional Radiology services. This role will create or refine offerings that align with the strategic vision and growth goals of UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper ensuring the highest levels of clinical quality, patient satisfaction, integrity, and commitment of the imaging team. The System Director Radiology is responsible for the operations of the Radiology Department located at Prince William Medical Center, Haymarket Medical Center, and Culpeper Medical Center. This position will work collaboratively with the Director of Ambulatory Imaging Services for coordination and standardization of outpatient imaging services across the UVA Community Health footprint.
Through direction and coordination of the technical, nursing and support areas of the department, System Director of Radiology will ensure the organization provides efficient and effective patient care and quality imaging in accordance with established guidelines and organization policies and procedures. The System Director provides oversight for the Imaging Managers, Supervisors and Leads responsibilities and functions as a corporate leader for the group.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree required. Graduate Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Experience: 3 years of management experience including large equipment installation project(s) and/or service line ownership responsibility required. 7 years of experience in an imaging department in acute care setting and multimodality experience preferred. Licensure: Completion of Accredited Radiologic Technology Program required. Registered with A.R.R.T. required.
