JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Ambulatory Radiology Services Director provides technical and administrative leadership and support to our free-standing outpatient radiology locations performing diagnostic Imaging. This role oversees the modalities of Radiography, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Breast Imaging, Diagnostic Radiology and Dexa scanning. This role will create or refine offerings that align with the strategic vision and growth goals of UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper markets ensuring the highest levels of clinical quality, patient satisfaction, integrity, and commitment of the imaging team. The Director, UVACH Ambulatory Radiology is responsible for the operations and management oversight of the Gainesville Outpatient Imaging Center and vendor management of both the Culpeper and Centreville locations. This role will serve as the primary interface with OIA (Outpatient Imaging Affiliates) for UVA Health Culpeper, and with MedQuest for UVA Health Centreville. Finally, this role will partner with other non-acute imaging areas (e.g., Cancer Center, medical group) to define an aligned approach and strategy for delivery of outpatient imaging services across the system.
Through direction and coordination of the technical and support areas of the outpatient locations, Director, UVACH Ambulatory Radiology Services will ensure the organization provides efficient and effective patient care and quality imaging in accordance with established guidelines and organization policies and procedures. The Director, UVACH Ambulatory Radiology Services provides oversight for the Imaging Managers, Supervisors and serves as corporate leader for the group. Organizes, monitors, and coordinates all performance improvement and quality control activities. The director will be responsible for leading in a matrixed reporting structure.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree required. Graduate Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Experience: 7 years of progressive management experience leading radiology services in a hospital or healthcare setting, including large equipment installation project(s) and/or service line ownership responsibility. Experience with leading in a matrixed reporting structure is desirable. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
Multi-site oversight and management experience preferred.
Licensure: Completion of Accredited Radiologic Technology Program required. Registered with A.R.R.T. required.
