**Job Description**
What s a career like at BAE Systems? Remarkable! We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director, Workforce Intelligence to join our Human Resources function at BAE Systems Inc. The successful candidate will lead a team of Workforce Intelligence professionals, driving the development of a workforce intelligence strategy that aligns with and supports key workforce focus areas of HR and our business. This role requires a unique blend of technical mastery, strategic consulting, and partnerships to drive scale, affordability, and strategic consulting across the HR function.
Key Responsibilities:
Workforce Intelligence Strategy & Team Management:
+ Develop and maintain a workforce intelligence strategy to align with HR and business goals;
+ Build and enhance a workforce intelligence team, setting a data and insights framework and 3-year roadmap;
+ Continuously evaluate and improve the workforce intelligence function to ensure long-term success, staying ahead of future trends and developments;
+ Coach and mentor the team to be proactive consultants who understand customer needs and have technical and consulting capabilities.
Strategic Partnerships:
+ Build and foster strategic partnerships across the HR organization and with key business leaders with the goal of better understanding the needs and challenges of the organization, prioritization of best investments, and democratization of workforce insights to drive action;
+ Build and lead a community of HR analytics experts to share knowledge, best practices, and drive consistency in solutions;
+ Collaborate within the HR Technology and Workforce Intelligence team and with IT to design and implement data collection, storage, and reporting systems for workforce intelligence;
+ Work with Data Privacy and IT Data Governance to establish a consistent approach to HR data governance, including access controls and data protection standards;
+ Partner with both internal and external groups to develop and execute an HR benchmarking strategy & approach. This would include representing the BAE Systems HR function in key external analytics benchmarking partnerships.
Consulting, Products & Solutions:
+ Identify and prioritize key analytics investments across the HR team to drive scale and efficiency;
+ Provide strategic analysis and support to the CHRO and HR leadership on trends across BAE Systems;
+ Help the HR team become more data-driven by providing coaching and guidance on using data effectively;
+ Create accurate, engaging and actionable presentations that clearly communicate complex data insights;
+ Develop a metrics that matter framework and solution set to drive a consistent methodology for assessing process and outcomes across HR domains (e.g. talent acquisition, DE&I, talent management and more);
+ Collaborate with other analytics teams to build and maintain the infrastructure needed for successful analytics, including data storage and analytics tools;
+ Lead the team in designing and maintaining self-service analytic tools (using suites such as Tableau & PowerBI).
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s Degree and 12 years of relevant experience OR advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required;
+ Experience managing a team of people analytics/business intelligence/workforce intelligence professionals with demonstrated leadership, development, and change management;
+ Data Analysis and Statistical Skills including statistical modeling and hypothesis testing;
+ Technical expertise including experience with data management tools and software, such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI;
+ Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate findings clearly and persuasively to non-technical stakeholders. This involves storytelling and creation of compelling data narratives;
+ Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to identify key business challenges and develop data-driven solutions;
+ Proven experience in translating business needs into actionable solutions, consulting on HR data, and driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives;
+ Experience working within the HR function understanding the key capabilities, roles and products of the HR organization, challenges/opportunities, and understands how to work with and protect sensitive personal information;
+ Experience working with and navigating IT and other technical functions to partner for access to tools, data, and other resources needed for success;
+ Demonstrated business acumen understanding the business context and aligning analytics with organizational goals. Experience working with the business to understand key performance indicators, strategic priorities and operational challenges;
+ Experience working across people or talent analytics organizations representing their company in external partnerships to successfully lead benchmarking and relationship building to maintain a competitive edge for the future;
+ A thought leader and strategic integrator across the HR function to help drive connection, integration, scale and consistency across analysis and solutions.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ An advanced degree in business, economics, statistics, and/or HR.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $154815 - $263185
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
