Director, Workforce Management – Williams-Sonoma, Inc
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, collaborative leader with expertise in Workforce Management. This position will be responsible for developing and managing a Workforce Management process across all stores, collaborating closely with the Retail team to ensure our stores have the resources needed to achieve their goals. They will provide workforce management vision, best practices, and process improvement, with the overarching goal of improving store-level performance and profitability. This position will report into the EVP of Retail.
Essential Functions:
Develop and drive a workforce management process to support an activity-based store labor model, coordinating across all functions that impact store payroll Drive process to quantify all store workload as an input to our labor model; assist in prioritizing and aligning workload to financial goals Work closely with Retail teams to support driving sales upside and managing downside risk through effective payroll management Collaborate with Store Operations, Field Leadership and Finance to develop operational payroll budgets and plans Serve as a central resource to support streamlined workload planning, management, communication, training, and feedback from stores Manage process for census and AHR auditing and controls Collaborate with IT to develop business needs, configuration and best practices for WFM systemQualifications:
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks
• Strong analytical skills, creative thinking, critical reasoning, and intellectual curiosity
• Proven ability to interact and collaborate effectively with associates and management at all levels
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong technical aptitude; an ability to learn new software quickly
• Experience with industry leading WFM software preferred (Kronos, Red Prairie, Empower, Infor)
• Strong business acumen
• Expertise in WFM industry trends and best practices
• Undergraduate degree with a focus in quantitative disciplines with 8 years of experience.
