Job Description:
The Director - Global Counterparty Credit TDS prepares and recommends high quality credit submissions as required for assigned Borrower accounts. Oversees and monitors the performance of Borrowers to ensure compliance with all terms and conditions of the credit authorization, and to ensure that the risk ratings for the assigned Borrowers are accurate. Furthermore, conducts market, industry, and client research in support of the ongoing risk assessment process.
Global Counterparty Credit, Hedge Fund Risk, TDS prepares and recommends high quality credit submissions as required for assigned accounts of hedge fund counterparties. Oversees and monitors the performance of hedge fund counterparties to ensure compliance with all terms and conditions of the credit authorization, and to ensure that the risk ratings for the assigned hedge fund counterparties are accurate.
Position Details:
• Manages a portfolio of hedge fund counterparties that are active users of capital markets products, including derivatives, financing products and margin financing via prime brokerage and synthetics.
• Evaluates transactions and related counterparty risk to support growth of the Equities (Prime Brokerage, Securities Financing, OTC Derivatives), Fixed Income (Repo/Reverse Repo, Interest Rate Derivatives) and FX businesses.
• Works closely with Origination in ensuring that the credit arrangements function effectively in line with the underlying strategy for the account, and adequately balance risk and return.
• Prepares and submits credit reviews in accordance with minimum policy requirements regarding Annual Reporting Dates and Interim Reporting Dates.
• Ensures that all credit reviews include sensitivity analysis appropriate for the risk at hand.
• Monitors ongoing performance of hedge fund counterparties to ensure compliance with all terms and conditions of the credit authorization and trading documents
• Monitors market and client developments to ensure client risk ratings are accurate and reflect all relevant material information.
• Prepares and submits the Quarterly Confirmation of Internal Risk Ratings Report and the Quarterly High Risk Reports as well as assists with the preparation of the monthly Large Group Exposure Report as required.
• Completes and submits Out-of-Order reports as appropriate.
• Coordinates with Origination to ensure that loan and security documentation reflects the details of the credit authorization accurately.
• Fully informed at all times of all Regulatory and Compliance issues.

Works closely with all product groups to ensure their credit needs are being met.Works closely with Origination in ensuring that the credit arrangements function effectively in line with the underlying strategy for the account, and adequately balance risk and return.Identifies/recognizes cross-sell opportunities and coordinates with other business units/product groups as appropriate.Prepares and submits credit reviews in accordance with minimum policy requirements regarding Annual Reporting Dates and Interim Reporting Dates.Ensures that all credit reviews include sensitivity analysis appropriate for the risk at hand.Ensures that credit reviews include statement breakdowns using the MFA spreadsheet tool, and that they include an MRA analysis to support the risk rating assessment, where applicable.Monitors market and client developments to ensure client risk ratings are accurate and reflect all relevant material information.Prepares and submits the Quarterly Confirmation of Internal Risk Ratings Report and the Quarterly High Risk Reports as well as assists with the preparation of the monthly Large Group Exposure Report as required.Completes and submits Out-of-Order reports as appropriate.Coordinates with Origination to ensure that loan and security documentation reflects the details of the credit authorization accurately.Coordinates with Origination in the preparation and presentation of Loan Capital Committee analysis and documentation.Fully informed at all times of all Regulatory and Compliance issues.
