Director – Global Supply Chain (GSC) – OCM Business Partner

Job Description Summary:
The Director - GSC Organisation Change Management (OCM) Business Partner is part of the GSC Excellence and Strategy team (GSC E&S) and is responsible for supporting the GSC group with OCM activities to drive change adoption

Results are achieved by partnering with the business to create an early OCM approach and mindset to enabling the adoption and embedding of change across people, process and technology


The GSC E&S team plays a key role in our Supply Chain function by supporting the adoption of change as a result of GSC impacted initiatives such as SAP roll out, maintenance of changes to existing SAP, planning systems changes and enhancements, Business process improvements etc

This position is responsible for creating and executing change strategies, establishing governance frameworks, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication, training, and feedback mechanisms. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on communication strategies, leadership principles, and stakeholder management. Additionally, you will contribute to building a best-in-class change management practice within the organisation by sharing tools, templates, and mentorship with fellow team members. The position demands a high level of cross functional collaboration and will set the vision for OCM needed for GSC, in partnership with the business

Responsibilities:

OCM FrameworkEnhance the foundations to support a repeatable OCM approach to change initiatives – e.g. OCM training, tools, templates etcDevelop and roll out an integrated with GSC E&S framework for OCM from intake to requirements gathering right through to deployment, ensuring robust repeatable service delivery through robust stakeholder managementEstablish an integrated GSC E&S monthly business review frameworkDevelop an OCM Service level offering from tools to templates to fully managed OCMEstablish current state maturity and benchmark to advance the maturity of servicesOCM activities

The following OCM activities may apply - depending on the level of service support required for an initiative:

Apply a structured methodology by leveraging a change management methodology, to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes requiredSupport communication and training effortsAssess the change impacts and manage strategy for changeEnable the design, development, delivery and management of key communicationsUtilise best practice CM Framework to address common challenges such as resistance to change, stakeholder management, Technology integration, communication gaps, and supply chain disruptionsIdentify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tacticsCreate change management plans that align with Project Management planSupport organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilitiesTrack and report issuesEvaluate and ensure user readinessMeasure the impact of change management strategies deployed through key KPI measurement to monitor change progressBusiness PartneringCollaborate with subject matter experts across the Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) business area, GSC, Finance and Commercial.GSC E&S - Closely partner with the other pillars under GSC E&S: Processes, Global Trade Compliance and other optimisation pillars such as Training, Continuous Improvement, Project Management and Data and Analytics to identify OCM dependenciesDevelop a deep understanding of organisational operations and workflowsRegular engagement with customers to understand pain points, prioritisation etcSupport cross-functional business process governance reviewsTeam ManagementLead and mentor a team supporting OCM activitiesManage resource allocation and project prioritization, ensuring alignment with business prioritised goalsFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvementProvides supervision, training, guidance and performance managementFuture of OCM as a service providedDevelop Vision and mission aligned with GSC, PDM and Gilead’s vision and missionDevelop and implement roadmap to evolve the OCM service whilst utilising best in class benchmarking, maturity assessment and action plans to evolveCollaborate across Gilead OCM teams, creating, participating and engaging in a Community of Practice to share learnings, best practice and latest trendsContinuous ImprovementBuild a culture and a system of continuous improvementAs part of establishing a monthly business review process, identify success factor KPI’s for the OCM service. Identify and maintain impact measurements for existing and new OCM activities/servicesIdentify areas of opportunity and improve the OCM framework/service offeringProject ManagementAct as a PM and a CM for some initiatives as needed

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree and 12+ years of relevant experience OR Masters Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience are required.

Preferred Experience and Competencies

Change management qualification e.g. PROSCI or other recognised CM qualificationBachelor’s degree in Business/CM/Engineering discipline is strongly preferredMaster’s degree and/or professional qualifications in supply chain management a plusProject Management and Lean Six Sigma qualifications a plus5+ years experience as a Change Manager, managing end to end change with in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain processesExcellent attention to detail coupled with an ability to understand the 'big picture'Leads and project manages projects independentlyComfortable presenting recommendations to diverse stakeholdersSolid understanding of current industry trendsLeadership qualities: collaboration, accountability, cross functional engagement and influence, strategic vision and coachingExcellent communication skills - ability to communicate on technical content and data with non-technical business stakeholders, clearly articulating messages to a variety of audiencesAbility to establish and maintain strong relationships and influence othersFlexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situationsA Customer Service, Continuous Improvement and Project Management mindsetProven track record delivering practical & sustainable OCM solutions for ERP systems


 

The salary range for this position is: $205,700.00 - $266,200.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
